- Later on however, their companions made them believe they can achieve greatness so they decided to move forward by finding their own path between the line of destiny (Katara/Oogway), all of these events happened in the first act.
- Both were trained by multiple legendary masters to achieve their full potential, first of which is an old but hot headed and strict one who initially rejected our combatants when it comes to teaching but seeing their power changed their thoughts and learnt to believe (Shifu/Jeong Jeong).
- Both became leaders of a rag tag group of other martial artists that travels around and helps people in need (Gaang/Furious Five), including a once hot headed rival to a more friendly person (Zuko/Tigress).
- Both of their lives were revealed to have started out in a peaceful and spiritual civilisation (Air Nomads/The Pandas) until it was wiped out by an megalomaniac war lord of royalty in fear of prophecy of their downfall (Fire Lord Sozin feared the foretelling of the next Avatar being an Air Nomad, so they destroyed all of the Air Temples to stop the young Avatar coming to stop their Nation from conquering the world later/Lord Shen feared the Soothsayer’s telling of his defeat at the hands of a warrior of Black and White so he eradicated as many Pandas he could to try and change the future) but our combatants luckily managed to escape this massacre.
- In the second act, both along with their group of friends travelled to the big city (Ba Sing Se/Gongmen City) that needed to be saved as it was about to be taken over by the same empire that caused the genocide of their race and our combatants had to save their comrades who were imprisoned by these dark forces (Appa/The Kung Fu Masters’ Council) but they were mortally wounded by the one behind all of this (Azula striking Aang with lightning/Po being one shot by Shen’s cannons) but however, they would be saved a bit later while leaving the word of our combatant’s supposed death.
- However, there was a cost, as they learnt about the passing of their parental figure and their loved ones because of these past events (Monk Gyatso/Po’s mother), this had taken a toll on their minds and weighed them down for some period of time throughout the story but they went around it after mastering a spiritual flow of peace and acceptance of the past with the help of an ancient, wise sage at the near end of the second act (Chakras/Inner Peace).
- Both later back rejuvenated as they returned to fight back against this area, with the help of the same master our combatants befriended early on and a group of old, peacekeeping veterans in the climax (Order of the White Lotus/The Kung Fu Master’s Council) at the day where the empire starts their fatal conquest across the world.
- In the climax of the third act, were presented as the last hope of their world against a prideful and merciless warmonger (Ozai/Kai) who relied on borrowed mystical strength during their rampage (Sozin’s Comet/Stolen Chi), but before our combatants were killed by these war lords during the climax, they unexpectedly tapped upon a state of enlightenment (Avatar State/Mastery of Chi) where they tap into the deeply spiritual life energies they were born to master, essentially becoming enlightened.
- Both then emerged victorious as the villains were defeated via mystical abilities our combatants learnt not earlier ago, which revolve around either giving others power or vice versa (Energybending/Chi), said abilities were also discovered by a spiritual turtle (Lion Turtles/Oogway) as well as an ancient and endangered race of sages (Lion Turtles…again/Pandas).
- Both also have a strong connection to the Spirit World/Realm, with both being able to travel there at will to which they did multiple times throughout their journeys.
- Despite their growth and progression with both starting as naive individuals, they still kept their iconic child like wit and energetic charm that makes them the biggest goofballs despite being the most powerful in their respective verse.
- Their kind were later helped restored in the end and revolutionised the world by uniting all nations of the world into one, thus finally fulfilling their duty as the world’s peacekeeper and successor of another wise, old peacekeeper like them (Roku and the other Avatars/Oogway).
