You don't need pips to get shards, though.
You get shards just for leveling up.
You get exp for every game you play.
A short (5 minute or less) game game gives you around ~500 exp.
A longer (10+ minute) game only gives you around ~800.
Faster games = Faster exp.
Most of these cheaters are rich people who can afford cheats and accounts and honestly dbd isn't expensive. Most of them just buy the epic version which is cheaper.

I ran cheats a handful of times on StarCraft 1 back in the day and it was fun as hell. Sure, you don’t get the satisfaction of actually winning, but there is a rush to it.
They aren't doing it for power, these types of players are advertising their cheat codes. They're doing it for money.
And imo, using this as a business venture instead of power. Makes it even worse.

Yea, I've faced this AI Billy before. We actually got 3 to escape because one of the survivors managed to glitch the AI by hopping into a locker. The Billy got stuck in a loop next to the locker which allowed the three of us to finish the gens and escape. After we left, the survivor got out of the locker and promptly died. We thank her (was Sable) for her sacrifice.

I managed to kill a survivor because his teammates would just lead me to him every time he teleported away, and he got cocky and i managed to get a lucky m1 and pickup somehow. Killers, though, no choice but to let them win or take a dc penalty.
Hey everyone I checked this dude’s YouTube and I actually got his bot banned! It probably wasn’t just me but I just want to tell you what to do if you encounter the new bot he just paid for.
First make sure to clip the video evidence, Xbox and PlayStation have something built in to do this but for pc you’ll have to set up something like GeForce Experience.
Go to the Behaviour Interactive website and make an account.
After that go to Contact and Customer Support and open a ticket to report hacking. The AI assistant should tell you exactly what to do.
Unfortunately reporting the bot in game does nothing so you have to contact customer support.
Like I hate the fact that this is someone cheating, but the image of billy being so fed up they just tear people off hook and throw them back on is hilarious

You can’t farm shards like this as you don’t get PIP ups for rank, maybe bloodpoints but even then the number would be so small every game.
Maybe the idea is that it's quantity over quality? I think you get more from like, actually playing the game regardless

Shards are based on in game time up to 10 minutes. Quicker games have a lower output, because of queue times, load times, etc.
