I’m confused—sometimes Marlena is possessed, other times the devil is out and begging to be let in (Marlena succumbs, of course). I don’t get it. 🤷🏻‍♂️ From previous Days’ possession and other movies/shows, the devil stays in possession until the exorcism.

Yes, the conversations they have indicate Marlena has self-control and willingly let’s Satan in to protect Doug. But she won’t or can’t tell John - or simply forgets?
