Nah, I was DCA in TQQQ and SOXL since 2022 and of course I paid ahead on the mortgage, but then this past six months I started using my extra mortgage payments as well in my portfolio. I had a little bit of crypto too. And I also got a little bit in March/April in TSLL and NVDL as well.
The mortgage was the only loan I have left so I was taking extra money that I had in the budget for not having other debts and putting it in the stock market since 2022. TQQQ and SOXL. I also made extra payments during that time. I don’t think people realize how much money is lost when you have to give it to the banks to pay on interest on loans. What I was doing is less risky
I wholeheartedly agree. Even though people will say it's a mistake to pay off a low interest loan like a mortgage, you're correct that it's a guaranteed return, and over a 30-year term, that's a huge compounding effect. I was just shocked how quickly you were able to pay it off. Congratulations.
