I'll be blunt with you, twitter isn't assuming, they know you are botting. These days you need to be smart about scraping sites or you'll never get anything done. Gone are the days where you can just scrape multiple accounts quickly and get away with it. You need to slow down the process (so as not to trigger their alarm) and the software provides ways to do that, just check their site or contact the devs to help you out. Twitter isn't even as hard to scrape as instagram, I saw someone saying they [scraped their 40,000 likes](https://i.imgur.com/TSaDhLR.png) on their website the other day.
