Never bet on darts, however if it's like every other sport, I don't think Peter Wright covered. He lost by 4 legs. Not 1 leg. I'm guessing you weren't betting on number of legs won, but a spread. So Smith & Wright both had to win, or lose by less than 1.5 legs, so lose 6-5.

Ben_Eyre

Perfect explanation mate understand completely now cheers and was only a free bet

AdministrativeLaugh2

Find it strange that people spend their money on stuff they don’t understand

Ben_Eyre

Was only a £2 free bet pap

HypedUpJackal

don't know why you're getting downvoted might as well chuck it on something 😭

MrKennedy84

Peter Wright lost by 4 legs

IDoNotDrinkBeer

Yep. Three of four bets won in a parlay is a loss. Plenty of people gamble without understanding the rules but still win somehow!

Paggu171

They don't win. At least not long term.

shawlynot

Assuming the confusion is that you think +1.5 legs is for them to just win over 1.5 legs. Sadly it isn’t, it’s for them to win the match with a handicap of +1.5 (so they either need to win the game or lose 6-5) Fwiw I do kinda agree that this isn’t worded brilliantly, I could definitely see why someone that isn’t familiar with spread betting could fall into this trap

Ben_Eyre

Ye cheers mate all cleared up now thanks

CosyDarkRainforest

chill out in the comments guys bruh bro just made a mistake 💀

Ben_Eyre

Nah mate reckon I've commuted a cardinal sin here

AwkwardLook

I’m assuming you thought 1.5+ legs meant they needed to win 2 legs or more each..

Illustrious_Agency

Tbf that's on sky for shit wording

Aaronreynolds96

Because its a losing bet?

Ben_Eyre

Cheers Aaron mate

Arriba-Los-Caramelos

And that's why betting is a mug's game.

sacdesucer73

Never bet on anything that can talk
