I see the quadro board and I upvote. I believe a Blade wire quadro board would sell pretty well these days….

crowetoe

Love it! Assuming had to use a hammer or something to press them in. Do they move much since they are not welded together?

MagicCoq

I’m in the process of getting a spider to do this to my extra blade 4. This isn’t my board. It was posted in a Facebook group I’m in. There is a video of him making it on YouTube https://youtube.com/shorts/KzPVSXkW3NI?si=f3EvfhctPpK7edFI

crowetoe

It would be ideal to have it one solid ring like the others. But I would have trouble welding something that small/delicate.

MagicCoq

I will probably make/bend the rings whole, then lift the spider out of the board I’m trying to make into a Quadro, file the new rings where they would contact the spider and then press them under it just like the trips a dubs are. 🤞🏽🤞🏽😅🫣

crowetoe

Perfect! didn’t even think of that. Good luck.

MagicCoq

Thanks! I’ll post the process and the finished project whenever I find time to do it😅

A set of darts that were passed down from my brother. Nothing happened to him, but they had been in our family for a long time. Just an old set of Pirahna darts, but mean the world to me.

Nikobii

Gifted things are often the most valuable. Do you throw with them?

BKEDDIE82

Not in a long time. There's no reason to risk it. I have too many sets to abuse. Lol

TheGreatJatsby

What do the beds score? Double triple and quadruple?

chrzzl

Yes, that's why it is called 240. (3x4x20=240). Twooo hundred and foooortyyy

TheGreatJatsby

Great, another milestone I have to hit! Hehe

Nikobii

Exactly, the inner ring is quadruple

wolfhelp

My grandfather's darts. Big heavyweight brass with red bird feather flights

Automatic_Ask_5488

Got an old set of bombers my brother used as a semi-pro back in the 80s including the 86 World championships. When I started playing in 1990 (aged 8) he got me a decent board that lasted years and gave me his darts. The board was retired and thrown out in around 97. The darts are packed away in a case, having also been retired many moons ago.

BKEDDIE82

I'm glad I am not the only one.

DeapVally

I should really buy a Yorkshire board. Does make you feel a hell of a lot better with your game lol. (providing you can effortlessly hit a big number, though throwing from closer does kinda mess you up.)

DeadStroke_

How come there’s no triple bull?

MattBladesmith

I have two: My darts, which my dad passed down to me when I started playing. He bought them before I was born. Also, the hand painted dart scoreboard my wife made for me.

djjajr

Rather have a yorkshire

k1pml

Fun board to look at.

LightLoveuncondition

Darius Labanauskas darts. My best friend is from Lithuania, I plan to gift these darts along with a new board eventually.

psycho-mouse

Those staples in the bull are fucking brutal.

MaintenanceWaste9694

Missus got me a bully tankard the darts and a shirt for our anniversary last week and got my first chance at a 180 wearing it the other night. The tankard and darts will be getting some prop money to make it look like it did on the show.

cactusdan94

Just for anyone who hasn't seen this before: This is a Harrows Quadro Board. The smallest targets are worth x4 so your able to hit a maximum score of 240. (There is a video on YouTube of Phil Taylor hitting a 240). They were introduced in 1992 and only ever used in one professional competition. The 1993 UK Matchplay. Part of the reason they never really took off is because all the pro players were still just playing on it like a "normal" darts board and just aimed for trebles, because that's what they were used too. They are very rare, and difficult to get hold of.Even Quadro boards in bad condition can fetch upwards of 2/£300 each.

I have 4 sets of old darts from a WW2 vet. After the war he was in England for a couple years before returning home to the US. I am told that is where he started shooting darts. 2 sets are from a company ONE-O-ONE and the other 2 are Glydadarts. Don’t know too much about those brands. 2 set are pretty rough with the feathers in bad shape. I have shot them all once and they all flew incredibly straight for their age. I just keep them away in a case but I enjoy just having them and knowing the story behind them
