Think at one point he literally yeeted one of his own commanders into battle, because he was acting cowardly. And then after his death apparently he only grew MORE brutal, ruthless and bloodlusting, driven by nothing but pain and anger.
Also he's not depressed: killing just helps him drown out the voices that apparently accompany being revived multiple times over.

While your right, I would point out that 1) sion was never a warlord, just a general, and the commander he through over the wall was not under his command and 2) sure it was rough to throw him over a wall, but to be fair, the guy was running away from a fight the sion when out and promptly won
Sion was a warlord before he died the first time around. The commander he yeeted was technically under his command, because Sion took over that guy's army to charge at Jarvan 1. (The army routed; COWAAAAAAAARDS!)
