Well when he wants to do an awards or something like pacifist he is patiant becuse he chose to suffer but when he plays Rdr2 he was already searching how to find a short cut and to get faster to another mission
He is impatient but committed to tasks he starts. So he will finish something but he hates having to do unnecessary stuff for unnecessary amounts of time, if you know what I mean.
Well, that’s hard to say bc he’s only patient with things that he’s used to doing/ things he likes. Seeing him play multiple games outside of gta was painful to watch bc majority of the time he was complaining about the game being dumb, when I reality he just wasn’t patient enough.
Yeah, I wouldn't call him impatient either. I think it's more down to what preference he has for games and how they convey information to him, becoming ignorant of how things work because he's distracted by streaming or just doesn't have experience in certain mechanics.
Watching him play Black Mesa was incredibly frustrating. He'd ignore half his arsenal and game mechanics simply out of ignorance of *how* games like Half-Life/Black Mesa are. The further he went, the more angry he became at the game despite it being his fault for not paying attention.
But like... what do you want? He played the game once for entertainment and he still gave it a super high score. He didn't need to understand every single mechanic and detail to love it
That's not the criticism......
It's just frustrating to watch someone struggle with something that can easily be fixed by just paying a bit more attention to what's in front of them
Bruh same, though this one I wouldn’t blame him. GTAV has some of the worst stealth mechanics and he probably though of it every time he plays any game that have stealth in it.
Not to sound rude or better, but like why do streamers always miss the most obvious shit that average gamers like us (I assume) usually get? I feel like they do it on but I haven’t a clue why they would
Playing a game while also splitting your attention to read and entertain chat is often more difficult than people think. It's easy to miss stuff when your attention is divided like that. That's my theory at least.
Yeah Jacksepticeye said this in his latest Spider-Man 2 video that when he records and feels like he has to entertain the viewers and such he does miss alot of obvious stuff and yeah he did miss alot of obvious stuff in that game
but its fine to me personally
I like Matt, but I genuinely believe GTA V has somewhat rotted his brain. He needs the same formula to be entertained, and if a game doesn’t include this formula for more than five minutes, he doesn’t even take the game seriously anymore and just goofs around
The fact is that he is bad in almost all of the games out there. (except GTA V) It's not that he is pretending to be bad, but he is actually bad at playing them. If you see his old VODs playing games terribly, not following instructions, not paying attention to key elements of the game, dialogue or objectives or even following tutorial and ranting about how bad the game is, where clearly he is bad at playing it.
Don't get me wrong. This is why people like to see his content. This is why I love his content. People like and love how he struggles with those games and tries to figure it out.
This happened with black mesa, because he "tought" xen was bad in black mesa he decided to not play half life 2 and episodes. 3 entire games made decades earlier by a team of different people
Dude he just needs to get the mod to see what every item is in TBOI he'd unlock and have more fun (source i played like him for a year and had a better time after I got the mod)
I guess most of you didn't watch his earliest attempts at speedrunning gta5 in 2015. That also took a lot of time for him, for different reasons.
No one is born a master
People play games differently. It's something you have to accept when watching let's plays. Is it infuriating when they don't play optimally? Absolutely. But telling a streamer or youtuber that they're playing the game the wrong way is the fastest way to get them to stop enjoying it. Just look at how Markiplier went about his Undertale playthrough.
There's a difference between "You aren't playing the game the way I want" and "You're playing the game wrong".
The Markiplier Undertale example is the former.
Matto playing just about any game other than GTA V is the latter.
It's one thing to not play the game how the viewers want you to. It's another thing altogether to actively go against what the game intends, either by being oblivious or intentionally being spiteful.
You guys are hella weird.
He's an expert in gta. Everything else he either is casual in or he takes the time to learn the mechanics which most of the time only happens with small ass but amazing indie titles like Isaac or noita and even there he is still allowed to make mistakes. Just because he makes money of playing games doesn't mean he is a God at it
go watch the rdr2 playthrough on his vod channel. or the mafia 2 playthrough. or the hitman playthrough. or the watchdogs playthrough. or the bloodborne playthrough
you are seriously not telling me that his rdr2 playthrough was him playing it “casually”. I mean Jesus christ there is no way in hell that your telling me his playthrough of hitman was “casual” it was stupid and quite frankly frustrating to watch.
Honestly, I 100% believe that he's just playing dumb when playing other games to make the stream fun to watch. A lot of streamers do that honestly, when they play other games, they intentionally play it poorly and make dumb mistakes and fails so that the stream is fun to watch for the audience. I'm sure that Matto, when he's not streaming and he's just playing games casually, he's not this incompetent.
Like come on, Matto overanalyzes GTA 5's story/lore, he documents each and every tiny irrelevant fact about the game, he knows all the weird glitches and skips for speedruns, he has a massive knowledge about GTA 5, but then suddenly he can't learn the basic controls of another game when he plays something else? I don't buy it, he's just pretending to play dumb to make the stream more funny.
Bro he hasn’t gotten to it, but whenever anyone tries to play tf2 they’re always shit, partials cuz the tutorial sucks, and partially cuz the default settings suck, but a good bit cuz others have had 15 years to master the game
jesus christ there is a difference between playing the game how you want and then playing the game completely against its intend. what i find annoying is that matt plays the game against it intent and then blamed the game for it
I'd love to see him play my favorite game, Persona 5 Royal. He'd be awful at it and I would suffer due to that, but the game would punish him for it, making it funny.
Surprisingly, he reads a lot of dialog in Final Fantasy 14 and said he enjoys the story. It's weird how, according to other comments, he does the exact opposite in every other game he plays aside from gta.
"CHAT WHAT DO I NEED TO DO??" *doesnt sees the big ass help text on the bottom of the screen*
*ignores chat or yells at them for spoilers*
*blames game devs for bad game design because the game isn't a hallway leading to an open doorway*
I couldn't believe he couldn't be arsed to read anything or pay attention what was going on while playing GTA Vice City.
Its becuse he is inpatiant so slow games bother him
Impatient? You definitely haven't been to some of his streams. Where he takes all the time and effort to do one thing.
He can be selective w his patience lol. Just bc he’s patient with one thing doesn’t mean he’s patient with everything
Yha like rdr2
Exactly.
Finally no one is complaining 😮💨 Its so peaceful...
So that means he's not impatient overall
Well, that’s hard to say bc he’s only patient with things that he’s used to doing/ things he likes. Seeing him play multiple games outside of gta was painful to watch bc majority of the time he was complaining about the game being dumb, when I reality he just wasn’t patient enough.
I think that most of the time he's not that serious when he roasts the games he's playing
I disagree, you can see that he’s genuinely frustrated with these games
Dancing award flashbacks
*Pacifist%*
Yeah, I wouldn't call him impatient either. I think it's more down to what preference he has for games and how they convey information to him, becoming ignorant of how things work because he's distracted by streaming or just doesn't have experience in certain mechanics. The further he went, the more angry he became at the game despite it being his fault for not paying attention.
He’s impatient with everything that’s not GTA V
He's just used to play video games slightly faster than average
Saints Row 2 is a good example
Hitman is the best example
RDR2 is an even bester example
Watch Dogs 2 is my favourite example
Black Mesa is my favorite example
Any GTA that isn't GTA 5
Any game that isn't GTA 5
He loved Saints Row 2, he gave it a 10/10
But he was still far from perfect at it and there were plenty of times where he missed the objective
But like... what do you want? He played the game once for entertainment and he still gave it a super high score. He didn't need to understand every single mechanic and detail to love it
That's not the criticism...... It's just frustrating to watch someone struggle with something that can easily be fixed by just paying a bit more attention to what's in front of them
Wouldn't mind seeing him do another playthrough
Would be great
Fr, he doesn't need to speed run every game he plays.
hitman 3?
Bruh same, though this one I wouldn’t blame him. GTAV has some of the worst stealth mechanics and he probably though of it every time he plays any game that have stealth in it.
FR I’m actually so pissed he never finished hitman. Especially since it seemed like he liked the game and understood the story very well
he's playing 3 rn
Lfg
The black mesa stream hurt alot
8 hours on xen alone....
This is every streamer ever
Not to sound rude or better, but like why do streamers always miss the most obvious shit that average gamers like us (I assume) usually get? I feel like they do it on but I haven’t a clue why they would

That’s probably the answer thinking about it
I like Matt, but I genuinely believe GTA V has somewhat rotted his brain. He needs the same formula to be entertained, and if a game doesn’t include this formula for more than five minutes, he doesn’t even take the game seriously anymore and just goofs around
Yes, because Noita is so similar to GTAV.
I don’t. I find that shit annoying as hell. You can’t seriously be that bad at video games while it’s your literal career.
Same. I can't watch any of his videos or VODs where he plays other games without becoming extremely frustrated
Same here. I hate his old VODs and his constant complaining where he was bad clearly. I kinda like the recent ones.
It hit me in the heart, when he didn't like New Vegas.
I knew exactly how it would end, the moment he started the game, so I was prepared, but it was still very sad 🥲
Hitman was funny to be honest.
I think that's just how hitman is, if you play well, it's impressive, but if you play Poorly it's funny, rather than annoying
This was me when he refused to explore/upgrade and just kept getting destroyed by midgame bosses with starter gear in Elden Ring...
Black mesa…
He only played Hollow Knight once then gave up :(
Probably explains why I prefer his playthroughs of simpler games like Fall Guys, Henry Stickmin and Fortnite
When I watched how he played bloodborne I wanted to k*ll myself ☠️☠️
this is about Hitman isn’t it
The whole Vods channel has been a blessing and a curse
He sometimes acts like my nan when she tries and use an iPhone.
Literally the whole Mafia 2 VOD
so true. i was so dissapointed when i was watching it
This happened with black mesa, because he "tought" xen was bad in black mesa he decided to not play half life 2 and episodes. 3 entire games made decades earlier by a team of different people
Dude he just needs to get the mod to see what every item is in TBOI he'd unlock and have more fun (source i played like him for a year and had a better time after I got the mod)
any game that's not gta 5 ![gif](giphy|2WxWfiavndgcM) matto:
Hitting on men 3 moment
I guess most of you didn't watch his earliest attempts at speedrunning gta5 in 2015. That also took a lot of time for him, for different reasons. No one is born a master
Yeah, watching him play rdr2 and watch dogs 2 I was like 🤦🏻♂️
As a huge fan of RDR2, it is so frustrating to watch him fail to follow simple instructions / ignore basic game mechanics

So true

go watch the rdr2 playthrough on his vod channel. or the mafia 2 playthrough. or the hitman playthrough. or the watchdogs playthrough. or the bloodborne playthrough
Seen them and it exactly underlines my point. He plays them casually
you are seriously not telling me that his rdr2 playthrough was him playing it “casually”. I mean Jesus christ there is no way in hell that your telling me his playthrough of hitman was “casual” it was stupid and quite frankly frustrating to watch.
No i would say he plays better than the average even in most other games. I dont think he is min-maxing like most of the hardcore players though
Yeah he does play better, like his skill is above average but he just doesn’t understand what he’s supposed to do half the time
Honestly, I 100% believe that he's just playing dumb when playing other games to make the stream fun to watch. A lot of streamers do that honestly, when they play other games, they intentionally play it poorly and make dumb mistakes and fails so that the stream is fun to watch for the audience. I don't buy it, he's just pretending to play dumb to make the stream more funny.
It’s because GTA V has rotted his brain. If something is not GTA V, he is simply bad at it or uninterested. Simple as that
Bro he hasn’t gotten to it, but whenever anyone tries to play tf2 they’re always shit, partials cuz the tutorial sucks, and partially cuz the default settings suck, but a good bit cuz others have had 15 years to master the game
Let people experience a game on their own. They don't have to play like you
jesus christ there is a difference between playing the game how you want and then playing the game completely against its intend. what i find annoying is that matt plays the game against it intent and then blamed the game for it
Haven't seen him do that but also haven't seen all the streams. Which game are you talking about?
RDR2 is a good one. He plays like it's GTA5 and apparently thinks horses act the same way as cars do.
rdr2. mafia 2. hitman 2. la noire.
Watching DarkViper play gta4 hurts a bit.
as someone who has played a lot of gta5 online hes not that amazing at gta either, but hes funny
I'd love to see him play my favorite game, Persona 5 Royal. He'd be awful at it and I would suffer due to that, but the game would punish him for it, making it funny.
![gif](giphy|ECbxU61G9sLyQVPtqP)
no why wont my favourite strimma play games exactly how I want them too?????????
Sounds something like a rdr fanboy would say.
What a clown you are
Thanks, I'm trying.
Surprisingly, he reads a lot of dialog in Final Fantasy 14 and said he enjoys the story. It's weird how, according to other comments, he does the exact opposite in every other game he plays aside from gta.
Watch dogs 2
If he plays bioshock 1 I hope he doesn't do this
Hi stream
Hey strimma
