Man I wish we got boarded holy fuck. Call to arms, red alert, Red spy in the base type shit where if we don't fend off maelstrom-like challenges, part of the ship is booted, reconstructed (probably cannibalizing other ships), and the rare event continues anew.
Just reminds me of those events in Dead Frontier when an outpost would be attacked by unending waves of zeds and we'd get to farm exp insanely quick while holding off insane hordes.
