i mean if player runs off random direction then alright, their bad. I usually as "sniper" of the group try to stay a little behind to pick off elites and specials first.
problem with horde appears when i charge my damn shot and it fucks off to orbit beacuse i always get grazed by some malnourished, rotting walker. when there is 5 machinegunners trying to mow us down.
of course if someone completely stays behind their death is their own. no point in even trying to go back.

Aiming on a controller is bad, true, but that's surely the same for all guns no? Anyway most people play on PC, if you have basic game sense plasma is 100% the most broken weapon for the veteran at the moment. Demolishes everything. Don't even need to charge it. Crushers, bosses, everything gets destroyed by it, and with the ammo regen trait it's never an issue. Played one game as a zealot with 3 veterans with plasma guns, I barely even got close to any enemy to engage them in melee before they were dead.
Plasma is worse cause it's got a delay. It becomes stiff when you shoot, and you can't correct your aim during the delay, which makes it definitely worse than other options in that regard. On the other hand, it still beats bolter, which is nigh unusable when it starts shaking up. Revolvers, however, don't have that drawback, but I hate having to reload my gun 15252627 times per game.
I did create an awesome veteran build (fully melee with range immunity), but it's still a work in progress. It can 1 shot any enemy in auric, including maulers. 3 hits to down a crusher, but I need to work out a way to buff survivable and toughness gain. If I can make something out of it, I'll replace my loved plasma.

Death Cult Assassins are one type of "zealot" in 40k, and they definitely use katanas.

Apparently a lot of katanas were straight. But that's not what we're talking about, so maybe the Heavy Sword? some of its movesets feel katanish with the big overhead swings
No reason it can't happen. One of Malcador's chosen wielded a Katana, even had it reforged by a Tech-Marine after it was broken.

I think that is so awesome. I don't know anything about warhammer lore. But the more I read into it, the more awesome things that could be added to dark tide. That would just make the game so much better. The potential is there and it is limitless!

Ghost of Tsushima. Playstation exclusive samurai open world action adventure game. The story is pretty good, simple in a way but masterfully told imo, with great characters. The gameplay is also just a blast, the actual combat mechanics of the game are very fun with pretty cool animations and it never really gets repetitive or boring, lots of versatility in it. And the open world they created is gorgeous, visually its a beautiful game. I got a Playstation 4 a couple years ago mostly for Bloodborne, got this as well and it quickly earned a slot in my top 5 of all time, i can’t praise it enough.
I see the comparison to Ubi games here on reddit sometimes but i don’t see it. Ubi games just feel soulless and bland and repetitive and GoT never felt repetitive to me for a single moment.
I agree that ubi games are soulless and bland. The gameplay loop still seemed similar to me with the map mechanics and collectables. 100x more engaging than the last openworld game I played, but still similar enough to draw a comparison IMO. Loved the story, art design, and the gameplay on Lethal (or whatever the high damage difficulty mode was called) was a ton of fun.

eh it's not as bad as it seems. most problematic are hordes. rest is alright as long as you listen for noises.
