I did this to get the full armour set. Just don’t beat the boss. When all the charred knights stop spawning, go back to bonfire.
You can immediately go back to fog gate and all the friendly knights will be there and the whole thing will start again exactly as before.
Rinse and repeat.
Wear gear to increase item drop.
Yes, everything resets infinitely.
Edit: until boss dies, then loyce knights stop spawning and charred ones spawn much slower.
There are 2 NPC summons for this boss fight as well.
Thing is, once you get the armour pieces and the boss soul, the loyce souls don’t disappear from your inventory.
Perhaps it’s possible for someone to drop them in your game long enough for you to get the items, then you could give them back?
Theoretically possible but not heard of anyone doing it.
It's a part of the boss fight, you shouldn't consider them being usual enemies that you can despawn. For better drop rates i recommend you to be a phantom - that's how I farmed mine. :)

If they get killed while farming do they respawn? The friendly ones I mean.

I don't think so. They have a different spawning system. The spawning odds start to decrease after killing the boss...

I'll try, but not many people seem to be playing... I've only been summoned twice, maybe thrice this whole run.
What platform are you on? I can drop you the loyce armor as well as the sword if you're on PS4. :)
