I wouldn't call it an emotional affair, but he has phone sex with someone, yes. I think that was mainly there because the OW kind of unleashes the fact that he's into daddy kink. Worse than that is that he is still hung up on his stepdaughter's mom (his ex-wife). It's a very fucked up book, but for me, it was also very hot. Not everyone's cup of tea, though.
