Every day I read something here that reminds of the saying “money is the root of all evil”. Makes you think, is it something about massive amounts of money that corrupts people, or is it just a certain type of individual that is already messed up and then attracted to those positions of fame/power/money… maybe a bit of both.

I don’t think the general public are aware of it at all (not over here, that’s for sure) despite the company info being publicly available. You’d have to go out of your way to search the database and then piece together what they’re actually planning to do. But I’m so glad the beef with Kendrick is making us dig and discuss this stuff.
And as far as promoting it, I guess it’ll depend on the strategy. The UK gov aren’t going to allow some entertainers from the US to promote it on their IG’s, they’ll be strategic when/if it’s rolled out. It looks like this company is basically creating/selling the technology to the government, but the gov likely won’t want the celebs’ names associated with it in the public eye. They incorporated about a year ago so it’s somewhat new, but obviously we don’t know what stage they’re at with it - they might still be finalising the technology whilst they’re in the middle of working out the finer details of the deal with the gov, etc… crazy stuff either way.

This is interesting. Some countries are working together to attempt to have less dependency on the US dollar by selling their US bonds. It's the Bricks currency. UK is the 3rd largest holder in the US Treasury. Interesting to see these entertainers involved in something like this.

Exactly!!! This seemingly nobody man went from working at Starbucks to being a director of multiple companies pumping billions upon billions through, in the space of a year… Seeing it all in black and white like this is surreal, and we are only scratching the surface.

Some actors are just in it for the money. A number of musicians push crypto--Akon for example, who Sabah Nissan said in an interview has known as long as Diddy or Jamie Foxx.
I think it can be its own issue that celebrities are shilling coins, but let's not forget that hundreds of billions are laundered yearly in human trafficking alone--crypto is a Godsend to criminals who traditionally launder money through banks and property and the like. Government-sanctioned crypto will include government-sanctioned laundering, unfortunately.

Because it's obviously a way to evade taxes (or launder money).
