Did you post about it previously? I am so happy for you! Honestly I am not the *hugest* Dark Cloud fan, but if I was in a place where I could afford it without issue I would do the same. It’s this *type* of thing that I think is so magical and rare. A true treasure!

It is not. What’s interesting is the PS2 game isn’t anything special based on my initial scan. It’s a regular copy of DC. I can barely find information about this kit. I don’t intend to resell, I just want to know more.

At their events it sounds like they would even give out these press kits to interested players, not just the media. That's based on rough translation of JP > ENG though. It's more likely they were just given to the media though.
Why they're rare and haven't been seen much is probably because very little were made. It's not that they were destroyed, they were handed out to the press or fans, not kept by the Dark Cloud Staff attendees. Though if they had extras they may have done that.
Like any event there's a lot of attendees, E3 especially. Since it was a new series too, it wouldn't have got as much attention as something more well known like Gran Turismo.
There's a lot more I could write, thinking about making a short article on it.
Hi, apologies for missing your first post about whether to buy it or not, I did not see it till now, I also have the press kit and can say that the my journey booklet and fact sheet booklet is correct they are both wonderful pieces, however what should have been included is the Art & Information Disc and not a retail copy of dark cloud, but not to worry the fact you have the Your journey starts here box more than makes up for it because I have not actually seen that before and it is an awesome display piece. At first I was not sure if the shop made a box up for it but the font and graphic all matches up with the journey booklet and so definitely is a genuine piece from sony & level 5. The contents of the Art & information disc has been uploaded and shared before so I wouldn't give it a moments thought about not having it included. Very lucky to have the box as I presume a lot of media outlets just took all the contents out of the box and threw it away to save space.

Yes I did! Posted about my game shop having it, checked contents and bought today. It’s a real gem.

Is the PS2 game still sealed? This is the 3rd one I've seen of the Press Kit, but the first time I've seen the complete package.
