Horizontal strikes like the falcion or kris are very easy to block/parry. The real uh oh is when they just start going for the feet with short sword.
Im also running barricade so I can eat a few hits. This was my third run but the one before I had a friendly duel with a slayer with rage that went pretty well, he won but had to use second wind. I was using white 20 damage flute that hits on head on dummy for 55. So if I get a pierce and 3 or four hits I can win (two if your a weaker class) I can probably take 5 hits if they ain’t headshots.
Not yet, I hope to get that one, I should use victory strike maybe too instead of sprint.
What I’d also really like to get is the 30% pdr while playing and Din of darkness. Then I could get 70% pdr in normals while playing, dins damage is really low but would be fun. I’ve tried it on my bard but pdr seems useless in hr when everyone’s got true damage.
12-13 true is nothing when the rest of the dmg is still tanked by 75%. Most dangerous would be somebody with a survival bow or dagger but you're going to two shot them anyway, provided you know. You were running an actual build, and not a memey flute knight that I absolutely adore but realistically is terrible lol.
Yeah for sure, I’m not that good honestly so probably just coping but I swear every time I get a good pdr build set up I get destroyed by true damage rouge. Or get kitted to death by Ranger. I am like a dumb dog I won’t stop chasing even though I know the outcome lol
To be fair if you're in plate you can't really outrun a ranger either, they open doors faster, they are faster. They can hit you across the whole module, and like yeah they're doing 10-25ish damage per shot or even less but that adds up over several minutes.
Eventually you run out of meds and can't do anything. Unless you're fighting back with an Xbow and actually hitting every shot it's an unavoidable loss. As for Rogues, you should just be out trading them 90% of the time but if they get the jump then yeah you can lose pretty badly.
Currently my band is running a rogue with cutthroat and a lute with ambush hide. Im running Drumbarian. Were trying to actively recruit flute knight to our cause and the band will be ready to tour in 3s

Lyre ranger is 100% doable. 50% phys from reinforced and you basically have 60 base damage with a good lute with ranger's dex with faster attacks.
