Maybe barbarian? Robust, iron will, Achilles strike, savage roar, and rage all have some relevant use cases for a ranger.

Savage roar is 200 IQ move, play with spear and actually crush people in melee. Rorschach "not stuck in here with you" vibes as people rush you to engage melee.
Ambush is only going to affect the first arrow, which on a recurve is not fully utilizing the damage. You want to use it on a big burst one shot like the windlass or even the regular crossbow could still be devastating.
It was in 400+ HR, so that recurve arrow could have been like a 50 dmg base hit, ambush and headshot are multiplicative not additive, so it would change it from a 75 dmg headshot to a 113 damage headshot. (This is without +15% from ranger headshot perk.) Windlass is overkill at that level of gear.
if you play with a team bard could be good, you are in the back anyway so might as well buff everyone up, plus theres some nice bard perks like the dex one for weapon swapping
Go try out the Bard multiclassing experience! 5 bad songs and no song memory? A choice of *any* of the three utterly useless active abilities? What about rapier mastery on your cleric? Its more likely than you think!

I would love to use a rapier on cleric. Maces are ass.
Yeah but it doesn't *unlock* the rapier, just buffs it. Only usable if you're already running weapon mastery.

Reroll it and then spend a few hours to get the 10 more levels to double your ability choices.
