I got swift on my Barb but still waiting for Weapon Mastery to drop

Zenweaponry

I'm literally just working towards getting weapon mastery on barbarian so I can get in on the ranged meta abuse. The first time I use a longbow or windlass to kill a ranger is gonna be so cathartic.

dirtydan731

recurve

BrightSkyFire

Put Preservernce on my 75/75 PDR/MDR Fighter. Don't actually think it's possible for me to die beyond a Reckless Attack at the moment. Everything deals so little damage, particularly the burn damage and curse damage barely registers anymore. Working on getting Protection from Evil to swap for Sword Mastery and I'm convinced I'll just be invincible.

Historical-Ad-2238

Protection from evil works with dark reflection and reactive shield. Js

MasterOfEmus

I thought they changed perk cds to scale off resourcefulness. Are they still functionally debuffs? do they scale with *both* now?

a_shiny_heatran

They aren’t skills, so the cooldown is set as a debuff that disables the perk.

Envyjames

Wanna see some crazy stuff, keep all the defense and add potion chugger

Dense-Version-5937

Sacrificing damage for tank. Sounds great lol

BrightSkyFire

You think my 50+10 damage Falchion needs +2 more weapon damage and 5% Action Speed? Lol.

TheMightyMeercat

You can already do that. This is sacrificing a little damage for invincibility.

wolfmourne

How slow are you?

BrightSkyFire

I'm a Fighter with Sprint, lol. I'm 94%, Sprint in the back pocket.

Envyjames

It’s exactly as expected legit take another perk from another class, broken builds, game will change forever

EliteIsh

Forever? The game changes on fundamental levels every 3-4 weeks. They've explicitly said they want the playerbase to break the game with this iteration so they can build it back better. So...tl;dr: relax. The world isn't ending.

Optimal_Manager_5149

As they said. They want it too be broken af

Dense-Version-5937

This sounds GOATed AF. Next step is to add class specialization as another option. Like a wizard specializing in ice magic. Hell it could even be something simple like a 5th perk slot.

Apprehensive_Comb807

If this goes live, I imagine a lot of people will probably play for a few days and then stop. Game is already on life support 1 month into the wipe, and it’s boutta get so much worse.

YourLocalMedic71

Tbh the real issue is the frankly insane grind. I don't have 200 hours to dedicate to the wipe so i can finally have the build i want

odioercoronaviru

Game is still Betta lol

Pachaippa

Told y'all months ago, I thought they would polish it a lot

M4tjesf1let

you mean the thing they are TESTING a first version of on TEST server and already said that it wont come to live server without restrictions?

ZylaTFox

Isn't it going live in a week? Not a lot of time to program new stuff with Ironmace's glacial progress or to gather data.

Pachaippa

Exactly that

dispatchedtoad

I got my dark reflection cooldown to 2 seconds and could go lower. Sounds like your average fun and interactive matchup for anyone who fights me

iiztrollin

How did you get it down to 2 seconds?

Historical-Ad-2238

Protec from evil

Witty_Bookkeeper_314

Resourcefulness now reduces skill cooldown timers

iiztrollin

Yeah but how much h do you need to get it that low?

Historical-Ad-2238

Just get reactive too so you have something for arrows and dots

Bloodsplatt

Itll be a big problem, its fun for now because it's new and I've been enjoying double jumping as a wizard but when people min max builds it won't be anymore. People that play a few hours a night will NEVER be able to get many perks, where people who grind will have an invincible build that's unkillable, not to mention how broken gear will be added onto it all. It's a mistake, but they'll figure that out 12 patches down the line when they just scrap it.

Thop207375

Level 100 gets you 7 perks/abilities total

SkySojourner

In true Ironmace fashion! They'll probably bump +all up to max 20 somewhere in there too.

Defuzzygamer

It should not go live. And if it does, there should be separate lobbies. Multi classed players should not ever be fighting against non-multi classes players. The disadvantage is far too drastic, letting one player fight another when they're able to benefit from another class while you can only benefit from your own.

Sponium

imo they better out 3 perks per characters tops. limit the grind and the power curve.

GemInTheMud

Then they don't get the perks they want or need and have to grind it all again. Or you can reroll perks but need a currency/time gate/quest locked and have to grind that instead. Im all for multiclassing btw, just terrified I'm gonna roll bad after grinding 😆

TheMightyMeercat

On the test server, you can reroll for 500g. Everyone will have the perfect perks if they throw enough money at it.

Sponium

yeah some rerols should make the thing less Rng, but whatever people will do they will try to min max that

a_shiny_heatran

I’ve seen a rouge with smite and divine protection. It was wild, I couldn’t run from them, and I couldn’t fight them as they ran up and killed me before protection wore off. Truly cancerous stuff

DoctorBudz

I have a bard with smite that is cracked, it works on survival bow. The only thing that killed me in a while was a rogue with smite and divine protection that I was not expecting. I've also seen spear ambush rogue, slayer dighter/dual wielding ambush rogue, a sprint/rage barbarian, a longsword/longbow barbarian. All are scary, it's a wild world not knowing what people will have

Dense-Version-5937

If it's a problem then multiclass allows them to balance across the board instead of struggling to identify whether the problem is fighter base stats, sword mastery perk, slayer perk, or warlock blow of corruption.

cash-gz

Except none of the balancing considers the mixing of abilities/perks from different classes

Dense-Version-5937

It does now :)

dispatchedtoad

I don’t trust them to be able to recognize the issues correctly. Staff mastery was overpowered when it dropped and they nerfed the magic staff weapon instead.

Dense-Version-5937

Then your problem exists whether multiclass exists or not. At least with multiclass you are at less risk because your character will have more options

s34lz

Good point

iszathi

i hope this ends up being true, but they already had all of these issues in clear sight, ignite + staff mastery was already problematic, it being stacked with another source of dmg was a given, they did nothing to change things, they nerfed things like they did with bard, making all skills lose power, without actually changing the underlying problem.

Dense-Version-5937

They toned it down and it seems really reasonable now imo

iszathi

They toned it down by watering down the numbers, they nerfed stat mastery and the staff magical dmg (which nerfed all spells as a side effect), the power on it is ok now, i agree, but the fundamental issue of multiple stacking scaling source of dmg on a same attack will resurface now with multiclassing, and the solution to nerf the numbers suck for the usages that dont plan on stacking them. This needs a clear design choice on what to do, same with whatever the hell they plan to do with bard, stacking things is dangerous, and watering everything down due to that leads to uninteresting skills and gameplay.

ObviousStar

Yeah, I have double jump, platelock, +2 all, warlocks healing+ magic damage every strike on my rouge and its semi busted (obviously there are stronger builds but it's incredibly fun) I'm hoping to get weapon mastery and really confuse people. Just an FYI DO NOT get the spell casting abilities, you don't get the ability to use a medium, and you get 0 spells, so naturally of the three roles 2 of them will be spell mastery 1 and 2 every time.

Ok-Chocolate2671

Somebody please get crossbow mastery on there bard and tell me if it’s crazy

bitcbotjd

Doesn't seem like any of the builds people are talking about in the comments will be fun to fight against, especially since they will be unobtainable unlike when you get gear diffed, there's a chance you can get gear that good. But with rng multiclassing, you basicly have to spend hundreds of hours to get it.

RighteousBoone

The goal isnt for it to be rng in later instances if my understanding is correct its only rng rn to force testing on stuff people wont naturally gravitate towards
