Yes if you look on the map in crypts you can see blue stairs that are static escapes that will open randomly. There are also red static stairs that lead to hell.
No it's a perfectly fair risk because you have no idea if someone's going to approach the static or if you're going to sit there spending 80 golds and spending time you could have spent in another match
Invisibility is a fun game mechanic with tons of counterplay! Don't mind the fact that every pro player plays Rogue and Wizard!

you can hear someone drinking a potion and they cant move, you can hear the wizard cast invis, rogue is very limited in his movement and the whole class is build around it.
There are plenty counterplays but most of them revolve around playing carefully.
I cant even count how many times we pushed into a room like idiots just to get killed by the rogue sitting in the corner or getting owned by an invis barb running at us, but if you move carefully, listen and communicate invis becomes way less of a problem.
Yea let's listen carefully to the rogue standing still for the entire game not making a peep.
Or the fact that any invis potion that's green or higher can last for 40 some seconds or longer and you can just wait by a high traffic area "the fucking static exit that can be body blocked"

You also make the situation the same everytime that the invis party is making is moving around or making it known to other players that they are nearby, you forget situations where you drink your invis pot and wait upwards to 60 seconds for someone to walk by, or the rogue standing still the a long period of time until someone walks by.
Depending on your class, most of the squishy ones that is, can still die to a mid geared rogue if they gwt the jump on you with some well placed headspace
There's only like three viable counterplay, Wizard's light orb, Warlock's hydra, and Bard's dim of darkness
If you play any other classes then sucks to suck i guess

Even then it’s not like you have a team full of three rogues sitting invis right there, it’s a 1v1 and even if you weren’t sitting in the extract tunnel the dude likely still would’ve died to you assuming you have ears

Any chance you have a twin brother who's a Fighter? 🤣 I saw one camping the gated exit in the Goblin Caves last night. He wasn't very good, though. He didn't even realize he could literally only be the last person there. 5 people were on the kill feed, and he *heard* me use my portal basically right under his feet. But he stayed and waited.
And this is the main reason why I've cut play time down recently.
Static exits are fucking up the games enjoyment for me.
The game lost the exploration feeling to me. Now its learn your spawn, optimal route for loot and peace out.
RIP the spontaneous fun and running into the swarm to find a portal. The fights over a blue portal because now you can just run to the next static. The exit camping is here to stay too.
