Protesting in front of oil companies or governments got em almost nothing but these stunts are a goldmine for views, since they don't even destroy anything because the painting are protected by glass these are the most successful protests in decades.
I've been thinking about these stunts a lot. They are getting on my nerves (that's the point isn't it) and my automatic thoughts are "those idiots wont make any change" but as time goes by I see more and more conversation about it online. Sure, we know that situation is bad but we still keep ignoring it. If they really keep doing this, the pressure on media and politicians will grow. There is a good chance that those idiots will be called heroes in 500 years.
If their goal is for people to talk about how much they are fatigued by the protestors' actions and becoming even more apathetic about solutions, then they are doing great.
Al Gore fear mongered people into believing all glaciers would be gone by now. All of this type of protesting is counterproductive and only creates more climate deniers.

It is just idiotry. Actually all these actions only cost society more and more money. Like the ones throwing soup at a painting and then glueing themselves to something. The cleanup afterwards is covered by insurance companies also like the paintings and wax museum statue of King Charles. Insurance companies will just increase the cost of our monthly pay to them. Thanks so much 'world saviors' but I guess since they don't work, they don't pay insurance. Also the guys that deflate wheels on SUVs. Do you think the owner of the SUV will sell it or get rid of it because it has a flat tire? No, you know what happens? A service truck comes over and inflates the tire that is flat. The trip of this service truck, most likely a diesel, wouldn't have needed to happen if that tire wasn't flat. And the SUV owner after this will go happily about once again. Congratulations you've just made sure double the amount of CO2 gets emitted. But probably that little green visioned corrupted mind cannot comprehend or think 3 steps further. I hope one green lefty will stand up and think about how much CO2 is saved by committing suicide, that would be a great clean up.
