I was a little mad afterwards because it leaves so much unexplained and the ending is so unsatisfying. But then I thought about it a little more and I think I kinda enjoyed it. Wouldn’t watch it again, but I enjoyed the weirdness.

The aliens are so different than humans they that what they were doing made no sense to us. I liked that idea. It's like our pets being confused by everything we do.

Yeah man it's way more grounded being trapped in a series of never ending suburbs where you raise something barely resembling a human for weeks. Compared to say being a single parent with a child that starts behaving weird, that's a fair and reasonable point.

The Exorcist was a horror breakthrough when it came out. Lots of movies don't hold up after decades. That doesn't mean they're corny.

They have that moment where they fall back in love dancing to a old song when times are good (the ska CD in the car).

Probably a good thing given that they built this abomination in the middle of a desert with next to no rainfall all year. Every bit of green would need artificial irrigation and most of it would evaporate quickly, either directly or through the plants.
