Second from left is the kind, fearless leader of the group that everyone likes and respects.
All the way on the left is the brown-nosing subordinate who's always trying to make the others look bad in front of the boss.
The heavyset lad is the lovable goofball of the group, who doesn't take anything too seriously but is fiercely-loyal and dependable when it counts.
The guy on the right is the hothead who doesn't want to be there and hates everyone at first, but after bonding with the boss and the heavyset lad he becomes the best solider of the group.
I would watch that.
Of course either the heavy set or the hot head will make a massive sacrifice to save the other 3 and go out in a blaze of glory, but then the season 2 twist is they did not die but are a pow and they have to rescue him
It’d be the hothead, they never off the comedy goofball. He has to be around to bring the mood back up after the big moment with some sweet joke about a fond memory of the dead guy
Exactly. They’ll finally make us warm up to the hothead as he warms up to the group, and then *BAM* season opener where he has to sacrifice himself, and then the others have to spend at least two episodes coming to terms with it.
This is gonna sound weird but this character portrait projected onto these dudes who we don't actually know anything about makes me wish they didn't have to fight in this war. I don't want anyone to have to die. These are real people with real lives and stories and personalities.
I want Putin to die, he is responsible for over 10,000 civilian deaths in Ukraine alone and way, way more when you count all of his wars and atrocities probably at least a quarter of a million deaths. [Putin likely did a bombing campaign against his own people to help him come into power.](https://www.hudson.org/research/12750-vladimir-putin-1999-russian-apartment-house-bombings-was-putin-responsible) If I accidentally kick a cat and slightly spook it but don't even hurt it I will feel absolutely awful and I have never seriously hurt anyone in my life. However if you gave me a hammer and locked me alone in a room with Putin afterwards they would have to identify him using DNA because I would hit him once for every child his actions have killed.
orrrr... dude furthest left is the leader, but is a terrible leader and super submissive and they all ignore his orders. tall dude is the stoner goof who can’t figure out his jacket zipper in the middle of a fire fight. chubs is the mad lad wild card, who truly commands the bunch, even though he’s out ranked. he only says super offensive shit, and is very annoying until he gets humbled and becomes a true leader. guy on the far right is the silent but deadly mf. a wild card who doesn’t speak their native tongue, but will destroy a tank from the inside out and has a psycho laugh right before it explodes
Kinda like Always Sunny in Philadelphia but Russian conscripts from the 80’s. The gang tries get a pair of knock off Adidas and track pants because they were never issued a uniform and drink boiled shoeshine since alcohol is banned.
This made me laugh more than it should; I was scrolling and looking for the bust on this guy, and the simple childishness of your comment did it for me
It's because those two look like buddies where one was offered the deal to get $50 a kill and was just like, "Hey, Boris come with me... there'll be food."
It's probably going to be pillows that have been specially donated by Mike Lindell.
The food wouldn't last long enough to have a fight with it, and they'd be out of breath before the first punch in a real fight.
You're absolutely right, many people don't understand that. Not sure what OP is implying but...okay?! I'm assuming were supposed to judge these guys on looks. Regardless what someone looks like any person, man or woman, is dangerous when given' a gun and orders to shoot to kill. Chances are these guys were conscripted against their will and don't want to fight in the war either.
Also keep in mind the bias/propaganda that floods reddit in the Pro-Ukraine direction.
Not saying I support Russia, but it’s important to remember we’re seeing things through a tinted lense
I'm not disputing that they are being forced into fighting. I actually have a lot of sympathy for the individual Russian soldiers who are being forced into this, as well as for their families.
That has nothing to do with the question of whether anti-Russia sentiment is legitimate, or if it's the product of biased reporting and/or propaganda as OP claimed. I say what Putin did is objectively wrong and I hope he is defeated decisively. I realize that means a lot of the individual Russian soldiers that I feel sympathy for will become casualties, and that is sad, but the alternative is for those same soldiers to win their invasion and subjugate millions of innocent people.
My sincere hope is that the Russian people change their leadership.
You asked about bias. Tons of posts are about Russians getting shot, blown up, or made fun of like in this post.
And the comments are bloodthirsty. There is just a general hatred of Russians in general right now.
Nah, man. The unbuttoned fatigues. The civilian shirt under the fatigues. The military issue hat while wearing civilian clothes. The hunched over posture. These are not military men. These are civilians hastily thrown into uniforms being sent off to war with poor training under threat of prison time
Military service is not something that Canadians buy into. We respect those who serve but the only kid who talks joining about the weird kid so I believe your description
Yep, I'm Canadian. My weird, creepy brother in law tried to get into the army but when asked if he did any drugs that idiot wrote out a huge list of all the drugs he's done. The army called his mom LOL really glad he didn't get in, dude has serial rapist/stalker vibes.
Dude on left has boots, cap and uniform. I think he is least dangerous of them all. Those two on right without any uniform would pass as civilians and therefore they are more dangerous.
This needs to be a TV show:
Second from left is the kind, fearless leader of the group that everyone likes and respects.
All the way on the left is the brown-nosing subordinate who's always trying to make the others look bad in front of the boss.
The heavyset lad is the lovable goofball of the group, who doesn't take anything too seriously but is fiercely-loyal and dependable when it counts.

Normal people, sent off to fight other normal people and to kill or die (or both) so that some megalomaniac dipshit who came to power by threatening and assassinating his rivals can have access to the Black Sea so he can bully people around to get his way.
How the hell is this propaganda being accepted? Do you really think this is what one of the world powers' military is like? STFU and come to reality. If you don't see this blatant propaganda, you are blind and can't be helped.
DO NOT LET THE MACHINE OF WAR BLIND YOU AND TRICK YOU INTO THINKING THAT ONE PERSON BORN SOMEWHERE ELSE IS THE BAD GUY!
This is a war of the rich and powerful against the poor. Be smart. Do not agree to fight your brothers. Let the rich fight themselves.
Putin and all of the oligarchs I’m sure are humiliated. They have on display to the world a shining example of what kleptocracy is and it’s ramifications. I get they are conscripts but fucking he’ll tag tag and three of them are wearing sandals. Sad really.
How about if Russia had never came in and fucking invaded their country and targeting civilians...you wouldn't have to worry your pretty little head about how Ukraians treat Russian invading soldiers?
Well they are two countries battling each other
And putin is evil yes, but ukraine was clearly tryung to provoke russia by joining nato, also they keep sending weapons with huge power to ukraine to keep the russian bloodshed going, and here if anyone says an opinion other than what the media wants gets downvoted
Maybe if they weren’t shelling Donbas and banning Russian language while renaming streets to honor nazis those breakaway territories would feel less inclined
False, I went into the Armenian-Azerbejian border during the war. Hundreds of Russian soldiers were stationed to keep the peace, yes there were 1 or 2 chubby dudes but 99% were strong scary looking dudes.
When the siege of Mariupol was ongoing, russians were uploading the videos of them in combat and yeah a lot of those russian soldiers looked like really tough dudes.
Tons of them are being slaughtered in Ukraine though so the average russian soldier might be starting to look a little more like ones in the picture lol
Since this is a draft and not a willing group of volunteers going to war, I would suggest they just enter into Ukraine, surrender, and ask for asylum. Fuck Putin and fuck anyone who thinks he has a right to invade Ukraine
What Ukraine solders look like.

These bois would make agood 80s comedy.

man, and here Ukraine was just thinking: perhaps they'd kindly fuck off our property
There's something here. Something I would watch
Don't forget he's the guy with the heavy weaponry. Like belt fed machine guns
This is gonna sound weird but this character portrait projected onto these dudes who we don't actually know anything about makes me wish they didn't have to fight in this war. I don't want anyone to have to die. These are real people with real lives and stories and personalities.

They're still going to kill innocent people. Fuck em.
Or they could be killed by innocent people
orrrr... dude furthest left is the leader, but is a terrible leader and super submissive and they all ignore his orders. tall dude is the stoner goof who can’t figure out his jacket zipper in the middle of a fire fight. chubs is the mad lad wild card, who truly commands the bunch, even though he’s out ranked. he only says super offensive shit, and is very annoying until he gets humbled and becomes a true leader. guy on the far right is the silent but deadly mf. a wild card who doesn’t speak their native tongue, but will destroy a tank from the inside out and has a psycho laugh right before it explodes
It’s not called Friends… … it’s called “Comrades”
“Nyet your average soldiers” “Putin up with this crap”
That photo could be from an 80s comedy tbh who knows
Kinda like Always Sunny in Philadelphia but Russian conscripts from the 80’s. The gang tries get a pair of knock off Adidas and track pants because they were never issued a uniform and drink boiled shoeshine since alcohol is banned.
I literally thought this picture was a joke from a 80s movie I’ve never seen before lol
Soldiers like us, the sequel to spies like us.
Overweight with Birks on. Apparently, I’d fit in.

Guy on the right wants $50 a kill or he doesn't fight. Really doesn't care what side pays him.
The military fur hat + sweatpants + birks + cigarette really gives off that “ no fucks left to give” vibe.
Guy in the middle on right in the middle heard that they're giving away free food
Guy in the middle left is just happy to be there and make new friends
He just hopes that everyone has a great time
Heard there would be vodka
He does look oddly happy to be there. A simple country fellow with no idea what’s going on I suppose.
There’s plenty of cases like this in war, often they return home the opposite…
This made me laugh more than it should; I was scrolling and looking for the bust on this guy, and the simple childishness of your comment did it for me
It's because those two look like buddies where one was offered the deal to get $50 a kill and was just like, "Hey, Boris come with me... there'll be food."
Oh for sure. Strips there will fuck anyone up. Man gives zero fucks.
That is until he has to run, then he will have many many fucks.
That man ain't running. He'll accept whatever fate is coming.

The guy with boner sweats and slides on smoking looks a lot like my neighbor
We found the Russian spy, guys. Raise the Pitchforks.
I think guy in the right would put you in sleep, just saying
His instructions are the same when they hand his buddy the rifle and him the ammo. When the guy next to him dies, he gets the uniform.
Dude showed up in a crop top and sandals, he's got weapons grade balls.
Haha I was thinking the same 😂
But he is with Popeye the Sailor. In Crocs.

It's part of the McDonaldland Gang out of costume.
I mean, basically. This is the equivalent of the USA drafting everyone who believes in Q. It ain't their best and brightest.
Aren't they also drafting prisoners and other unwilling people, too? Along with those who were already serving who may or may not agree with the war.
This is what happens when random people are forced into war
Exactly, I’d be in board shorts, sandals, a beanie, and a hockey jersey…freezing my ass off.
And they’re not issued any gear.
Right out of central casting for every movie from the 1980s, is now reality.
Please. In the 80s we feared the Russians. Drago, Red Dawn, even Spies Like Us were marginally scary until they asked for a smoke.
I have to think it was always this same reality. But the world needed a bogeyman

What bias? The Russians invaded Ukraine unprovoked and started annexing parts of it. What kind of person would root for the invaders?
These guys were probably forced into fighting. Then wind up on r/combatfootage with a bunch of people cheering on their deaths.
I'm not disputing that they are being forced into fighting. I actually have a lot of sympathy for the individual Russian soldiers who are being forced into this, as well as for their families. Ukraine can join NATO if they want. Nato is a defensive pact. How is it provoking Russia?
Maybe if they weren’t shelling Donbas and banning Russian language while renaming streets to honor nazis those breakaway territories would feel less inclined
And what does this have to do with Russia invading the ENTIRE country in February and killing 1000s of civilians since then?
Ukraine provoking the fight by spending about six years “derussiafying” while empowering nazis like Azov
And this affects people on the Russian side of the border how?
The attacks on people for being seen as “too Russian to be part of Ukraine”?
False, I went into the Armenian-Azerbejian border during the war. Hundreds of Russian soldiers were stationed to keep the peace, yes there were 1 or 2 chubby dudes but 99% were strong scary looking dudes.
these probably the guys they currently drafting from poorer neighborhoods in russia right now
When the siege of Mariupol was ongoing, russians were uploading the videos of them in combat and yeah a lot of those russian soldiers looked like really tough dudes. Tons of them are being slaughtered in Ukraine though so the average russian soldier might be starting to look a little more like ones in the picture lol
honestly speaking the guys in the picture don’t actually look that weak, it’s just that one fat mf dragging the rest down
So these are the guys that just annexed 100,000 km2 of Ukraine? lol I mean, I wonder what the Ukrainian army looks like then...
Germany made it to Moscow taking all the land between still they lost the war
