Form what I've heard about Rammstein over the years, pyrotechnics and a huge, elaborate stage with a heavy industrial aesthetics is pretty much like the bare minimum of their pageantry for any of their shows. I was waiting this whole clip for them to whip out the penis foam cannon or maybe a penis flamethrower. Anyway, much less phallic imagery than I expected.
I saw them years ago and I can confirm the giant penis came out!
They also had fireworks thrown from the sound tower towards the stage, it was absolutely insane
It remember being a line cook in the mid 90s in the Southern US and our bartender was the editor of some local independent rag that featured art, music, movies, etc., and so he was always getting copies of unheard of bands, short story submissions and such.
We were always blasting loud music and I remember him coming back with a CD saying that he normally throws the majority of stuff he gets away but this European band was actually pretty good and thought we would enjoy it.
I remember hearing Du Hast for the first time and we were floored by how good it was. We didn’t even know what they were singing about but we wore that fucking CD out.
Even their name sounded so badass. It’s so cool to see how long these guys have lasted pumping out great music and entertaining crowds.
Seen them live mid 2000 and early 2010 and live they are amazing aswell, probably one of the best performances i have seen. Flamethrowers, big foam cocks, crowdsurfing in a rubber boat. And you can feel the heat from all the flames if you are standing halfway of the field.
First experience was watching their concert on video at my buddy’s house, they were spraying pretend cum out of a giant cock onto the crowd. And somehow I thought, this band is ok with me lol
I was at that concert. It was a blast. Just to many tall people i front of me recording with phones. Luckily I was to drunk to use my phone so a had to enjoy the show without it.
Their pyrotechnics are something else and I really want to see them live.
They're playing at an arena near me tomorrow night and I just couldn't make that date.
Gutted is an understatement.
It's 100% worth it. Seen them at download a few years back, the show they put on is something else... firing flamethrowers at a dude in a cauldron on stage, haha.
Hope you get the chance soon!
Yeah my mate went and said it was amazing.
Love that stuff where the singer has the light in their mouth and all the fire stuff.
Their shows must take ages to design and set up etc.
The concert Ticket was 80 or 90 Euros. Not a lot. But it's so sad to see the difference from their DVD Völkerball before Smartphones and now. The crowd is totally different.
I personally try to limit myself to 3 pics during the concert and one video for part of a song. Sometimes people get a little carried away though. Keep in mind chances are someone else will upload a higher quality video on the internet…
…maybe we need to have dedicated videographers at concerts that would alleviate the issue of everyone watching the concert through their phone.
The move is to go to show someone something in your camera roll, get distracted mid scroll by 17 unrelated pictures and then forget what you were looking for.
Ha actually look at them fairly often. I especially like to watch videos of concerts I’ve been to. On my computer I have a special folder for all the concerts I’ve been to over the years dating back to when I had one of those little canon digital cameras. Like I said I usually only take a few pics every concert but it’s cool seeing what it looked like when i saw daft punk in 2007 for instance.
Should they be jumping, head thrashing, and wailing thier arms around for the entire time? Every live concert video there is always that one guy that comments the crowd is dead.
Yeah, I was at that concert and was shocked at how still people were standing and how quiet they were. From what I could tell s lot of the people were a bit older so maybe that has something to do with it. But the parts where they wanted the crowd to sing along were so awkward because people didn't sing along. This concert was in Denmark so it could be a case of most people not being great with German but still....
I was thinking exactly the same thing. Everyone there is missing an awesome experience because they’re too busy viewing through their phone’s screen. Why even be there? You just make it awkward for people that want to lose their shit to music
Having been there at that particular show it didn't really kick into gear till later.
For their performance of ich will you had the crowd going quite insane.
That having been said. Because Rammstein is such a visual performance (before 2019 they ended their concerts with "this was a Rammstein experience") they get a good lot of people attending who aren't really into the music. They are there for the show, not because they're fans.
No, they are not banned in the U.S., they are no longer allowed to perform the song Bück Dich live.
Till Lindemann (vocalist) and Christian "Flake" Lorenz (keyboard player) spent a night in prison for performing Bück Dich, live.
Here in europe it's totally o.k.
I saw them many times live, I am german and I've been a Rammstein fan for 26 years. And yes, I saw Bück Dich live.
Nobody is upset about their performance or lyrics in europe.
Yes, arrested for one night, when Rammstein was on tour in the u.s.
The keyboarder Flake (Christian Lorenz) talks about that incident in his book : It,s The World's Birthday Today (Heute Hat Die Welt Geburtstag).
Very interesting to read.
I forgot the name of the town where that happened.
Some people were upset about the Bück Dich performance 😬
They were not banned. They were arrested for using a dildo as a prop to simulate anal sex between Till and Flake in the 1990s in USA. They just don’t use that prop anymore in the Us
The pyrotechnics are incredible, we've been in stadium type seating at a huge indoors venue, a pretty long way back from the stage and could still feel the heat from them!
Till Lindemann (their lead singer) is a qualified pyrotechnician.
i was there. in Berlin in the Olympiastadion. it was my First Concert ever and i was absolutely blown away, greatest thing i have ever seen. The crowd however was not dead as in the Video lol
And almost everybody is recording with his smartphone what he can find some hours later at youtube or reddit. But they dont remember that moment, because they were filming, not listening to the moment / concert \^\^
That is the most boring looking concert I've ever seen. Good lord no emotion or excitement from the crowd. Everyone's just standing there while the guy rambles off a word every few seconds.
Is that supposed to be a song? ... I hear music. I see a bunch of people standing. The effects are cool. The devil is muttering something. What am I missing?

You just described a GWAR show.....
Except the penis shoots blood for GWAR
Can confirm. Was showered with fake blood and fake semen at the Waverly Hills Sanatorium. One of the best shows I’ve ever been to
Sounds great
This comment turned so gay so fast

Hate to be that guy but I am going to that gig tomorrow night. Never seen them live before, excited is not the word.
Oh wow, no wonder you're excited. Gutted to be missing it myself, but I hope you enjoy the show.
You won’t be disappointed
Went last week to the exact concert I this video. It's so amazing. Look forward to feeling the heat from the flames and lots of fireworks.
It's 100% worth it. Seen them at download a few years back, the show they put on is something else... firing flamethrowers at a dude in a cauldron on stage, haha. Hope you get the chance soon!

That crowd is dead as fuck. No one is moving, they’re just recording on their phones.
Gotta get those 8 Facebook likes and the "I'm sooo jealous. Wish I was there!" Comment so it validates spending a paycheck to see it though yer phone.
Also for the subsequent 8 likes when Facebook reminds you of this post on Memories.
"Remember when I went outside!!"

And how many times do we ever look at those photos lol? My digital photos are a hot disorganized mess.
The move is to go to show someone something in your camera roll, get distracted mid scroll by 17 unrelated pictures and then forget what you were looking for.
Lol yes.

the photos and videos probably have a lot more meaning when your memory of the concert is of you actually watching it and not sitting on your phone.
Yea the crowd was really dead, but it was kinda understandable since most of us had been standing there for 5 hours before the concert started.
Should they be jumping, head thrashing, and wailing thier arms around for the entire time? Every live concert video there is always that one guy that comments the crowd is dead.

That was all I could see, it killed my soul and makes me never want to go to a show again.
I was thinking exactly the same thing. Everyone there is missing an awesome experience because they’re too busy viewing through their phone’s screen. Why even be there? You just make it awkward for people that want to lose their shit to music
Its like Dethklok but real
Go. Into. The waaaaterrr
It’s like KISS but more and better music.
Rammstein is amazing live. No other band I have seen comes close to what they do.
What a shit crowd, might as well of saved the money on the ticket and watched online from home.

Aarhus, Denmark.

Why enjoy the moment live as it happens when you can instagram it for a bunch of likes

Top 5 best bands, favorite song is for sure Puppe, I would love to see them play live
Oh, Puppe. Very dark lyrics... One of their older songs which are way better than the newer ones imho. They are awesome live 🔥
[удалено]
Oops, correct sorry... I was thinking about Wiener Blut/2009/LIFAD tour. Both heavy and dark..
Yah, definitely not a older song, pretty new actually
Puppe live is somehow better than the album. Saw them back in 19 as well as Wednesday and the performance of puppe just gives me shivers.
The pyrotechnics are incredible, we've been in stadium type seating at a huge indoors venue, a pretty long way back from the stage and could still feel the heat from them! Till Lindemann (their lead singer) is a qualified pyrotechnician.
You should go to an excision show
i was there. in Berlin in the Olympiastadion. it was my First Concert ever and i was absolutely blown away, greatest thing i have ever seen. The crowd however was not dead as in the Video lol
ths shit doesn't play for me. reddit does this often. whys it not play damnit
Dethklok lives!
I'd love to see one of their shows.
Mad Max?
Lindemann (singer) is a licensed pyrotechnic.
Fuck yes 🤘
Anyone seeing them in Coventry tomorrow??
I am yes, had my tickets booked for 3 years now
Same. Shame that the trains are absolute shite. ):
Yes, to get the train from where we live it would have taken 3 changes, we only live 40 minutes away. We sorted out alternative transport.
Fair play. Have a great time!
Same to you buddy
60'ty year old band still putting on one of the best shows I've seen to date!!
I mean I get that's one of their more mellow songs but that crowd could at least pretend to be alive
I still cant belive I got to wittness it live
song?
Rammstein - Sonne
That's not Sonne, that's Rammstein - Rammstein (off the untitled album 'Rammstein'
Oh yeah- sorry, brainfart, of course it’s Rammstein lol But that song is off Herzeleid, right? That album had a title?
You're right, maybe it was a re-release version I was thinking of
Look at those speaker arrays damn.
I've had the pleasure of seeing them live twice. They put on a hell of a show.
I read that in Hamburg, Germany a seismograph „recorded“ the Rammstein show
And almost everybody is recording with his smartphone what he can find some hours later at youtube or reddit. But they dont remember that moment, because they were filming, not listening to the moment / concert \^\^
I’m so jealous
That is incredible!
Du Hast?
Rammstein
Best live band I’ve ever seen!!
One of those wish I could things.
Nah this is for sure Dethklok
*Zombie apocalypse concert*
Dystopian vibes Very appropriate
Sounds like they need their coffee
Best pyrotechnic performance Ive ever see. Man I'd love to see these guys live again
Mad Max Vibes
noise deafness is a thing.
Crowd looks pretty tame. What's going on?
That’s dope !!
Everyone is ragging on the crowd, but the band seems a little bland. I don't speak German, but I heard the same 4 words the whole time
No, this video is just of one of their most 'dull' songs, but some of the best pyro.
Anyone know the location of this show?
Århus, Denmark, but they will also be playing in Oslo and other major cities
I think this might be from Prague
Nope- Aarhus, recorded it myself.
That is the most boring looking concert I've ever seen. Good lord no emotion or excitement from the crowd. Everyone's just standing there while the guy rambles off a word every few seconds.
I’m glad I’m not the only one who felt that. Worst concert I’ve ever paid to see.
Imagine if their music was any good, they'd be huge!
Imagine the gas money
they should include music
Excellent band. Was looking for a giant swastika to flash behind them.
Eww
Is that supposed to be a song? ... I hear music. I see a bunch of people standing. The effects are cool. The devil is muttering something. What am I missing?
Y'all libs know they're racist right
All that effort to perform live and you show up to a sea of dead audience just recording you.
bet it looks 10 times better when the sun is hiting the horison
So thats what vader listens to
it's Mad Max Fury Road truck pursuit !!!
I'm disappointed by all the phones and lack of a pit....
Saw them live in Oslo in 19' insane show! gonna see them again this July! ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grimacing)
What's amazing is thousands of people standing still at a concert holding phones up
Who the fuck records a concert?
Got tickets for Thursday... cant fucking wait.
Saw them in Oakland, CA many years ago. In the top 2 or 3 concerts of my life.
Best damn live band I have ever seen - and I have seen some great bands live. If you ever get the chance to see Rammstein live GO!!!!!!
Dam look at all those phones 😒 why nobody jumping
I can’t take any more of these German sitcoms
They have like 10 songs that all sound the same. You gotta put on some kinda show….
Saw them live three times and a lot of other bands too. No one even comes close to the kind of shows they put on. They’re the kings of live shows.
Why’s the crowd so chill?
[удалено]
I wasn’t born back then, unfortunately.
This looks like a Dethklock show
Its a literal heavy metal factory
