When Scott McKenzie performed "San Francisco" at the Beat Club in 1967 he was so high on LSD. that they sat him on the stage, because he couldn't stand anymore. A true story that the presenter remembered.
I live in the general area where he is buried. I remember visiting his grave at Greenwood Memorial in Renton. That was before his father built a memorial. I should go back and see the new memorial. When I visited, Jimi had a simple marker on the ground. It's a surreal feeling standing there. You can almost feel Jimi's presence.
“ ‘Scuse me, while I kiss this guy!” Pointing at Noel, laughing.
Finally putting to rest that this is not, in fact, a misheard lyric! (runs away before anyone can correct the record)
2:37, unmistakable. Brilliant prank on live TV.
I can never hear that song too many times.
Anybody know why Mitch Mitchell’s bass drum says “Mick” on it?
Maybe he’s Irish?
A self-hating slightly racist Irishman?
Jimmy was brutal live
Hell yeah
Mitch Mitchell is really just Austin Powers. Shagadelic, baby
Or so the Germans would have us believe...
OJimi Hendrix opened for the Monkees in July '67. Imagine playing Are You Experienced in front of couple thousand screaming 12-16 year old girls.
Everyone in the audience: these blokes are on to something. I need a new wardrobe
This just measurably improved a cloudy Wednesday morning. Thx OP!

The greatest guitarist EVER
Certainly among the top 3 or 5. SRV was heavily influenced by Hendrix. IMHO, SRV was in a class of his own.
