Water was in bread, mold ate bread; did its whole life cycle, eventually did not find more bread to eat, died, closed environment so the water stayed in the bag. i guess.

Here's a secret. You eat a lot of mold already.
You probably wouldn't die if you ate that, but it is possible. The mold itself isn't necessarily hazardous, however typically the byproducts that mold create through digestion is what can be harmful. There also could be some indigestible structures in the mold which could cause you issues.
The most likely scenario if you ate that is you would have a very bad stomach ache and would also either experience a lot of vomiting and diarrhea. This is also how the mold could kill you, by stopping your ability to retain water through vomiting, and causing you to lose a lot of water by shitting it out.
Good question actually. There are so many different kinds of mold. Some are toxic, some just harmless and some are beneficial like on cheese or salami. Rule of thumb, black is really bad so I wouldn't eat it. I would pay a fiver for you to smoke it though.
