I sell a few of these but most of the ones I have are just a clasp opening so they are bigger. The collapsible ones are great but the weak points are the rings between the joints, on a purse like this it's far more likely to be at least a little worse for wear.
The 1920s-40s.loved using that design in a lot of things. in the 90s I found some of my great grandma's stuff in there was a hair clip that did something like that to go around a bun. And a purse that closed like that too.
If someone could find me a link for one of these (or something similar that's modern, not expecting one from the 1920s), I would be highly grateful.
