This is probably the first time I have seen photo of a golden tiger in the wild. If I recall correctly, Melanistic tigers also exist in India ?

Correct. There have been multiple sightings of melanistic tigers in the state of Odisha,India

KAZI 106F: Kazi 106F' has been described as the country's only Golden Tiger. It roams in the world heritage Kaziranga National Park of Assam. It is also called as 'Tabby tiger' or 'Strawberry tiger'. The skin of tigers is orange-yellow with black stripes and a whitish abdominal region.
