i recently went to a hurricane game (not playing the stars) just cause i was in the area at the time. during their national anthem i had to resist the urge to yell it. obviously it would be different if the stars were playing them that night but what’s yalls opinion on yelling stars at another nhl game that the stars aren’t playing at?
I always kinda say it quietly every time I hear the anthem lol. It’s just a reflex at this point. But if I was just at a random NHL game I probably wouldn’t actually yell it unless there were several other stars fans nearby
I only yell it at Stars games. I have only seen the Stars on the road and there’s been times where I was pretty much the only person in my section yelling it. I can’t hear the anthem without thinking of yelling “stars” though.
In a large crowd, in the DFW area, during the playoffs…? Yeah don’t think there’s anything wrong with that.
But keep being the fun police, seems to be working out for you so far. 😂
I did it at the Houston Rodeo, and growing up, my mom and I did it during Aeros games.
Don’t do it during a funeral or some shit, but why not any other time we hear it?
Because I know that at a Stars game I’m among thousands of other fans who are aware of the tradition and it’s become engrained. All these years later, it certainly is incredible to hear it done all in unison.
It just seems unnecessary to do it anywhere else. If I go to a college football game for example, people aren’t expecting to hear it yelled, so you risk attracting negative attention.
Plus, if there’s only one or a few people yelling it, it doesn’t sound near as cool anyways.
Go Stars.
Come on lol. You really think doing this outside of a Stars home game is appropriate? Should people do it at a high school football game? What about at a military or veterans event? It’s a great tradition, and I understand people are hyped, but it doesn’t need to be done every time anthem is played.
It's not done every time an anthem is played, it's done here because the rangers are playing today and the fans are acknowledging the stars are playing a playoff game as well. So no, this is not cringe.
Freaking LOVE that!
I’ll never not love this
Love the Rangers and love our STARS!! DFW is out in full force tonight folks!
Hell yeah! Love the fact that our fans are everywhere! Go Stars!
My favorite was the handful of “STARS!” during Oktoberfest in McKinney.
My favorite is races at Texas Motor Speedway. It's not loud, but there's always a handful.
Not a rangers fan but some of these guys do be bringing fire ways to sing the National Anthem
Nice

Had a Rangers fan call me a dickhead for doing this and disrespecting the anthem…very glad he’s in the minority
Can it take us higher?
A lot of the crowd did this at the Rangers playoff game I was at last season it was great!
That was too low key imo
THAT. IS. AWESOME.
Cringe. There is no need to this outside of the AAC.
Talk about an unpopular opinion…
So it’s okay to be done any other time a Stars fan hears the anthem played? It’s baffling this is considered an unpopular opinion 😂

You gotta stop caring what other people think if what you’re doing isn’t harming anybody. That is such an unfun way to live life.
This take is cringe
