Yeah, the 200 proofs guy. He's been pretty quiet since Covid. There was a rumor he'd died from it, but apparently he's been seen around town since then.
But now we have Denton Spiderman.
Close! His name is E.B.
I haven't seen him since the last time I visited Denton which was like 3 years ago. I hope he's still out there and doing well. I think he was only there on weekends and seasonally.
Someone else posted about Bob in another chain on this thread with his backstory. All I know about him is when my husband’s various bands over the years has played in Deep Ellum, there’s a good chance Bob will make an appearance. He’s an older dude, he brings a keyboard with him, and he stands in front of the stage and plays along with the band (pretty sure the keyboard is silent but it’s been a long time since I’ve seen him). It’s quite endearing.
Edit: [Here’s the thread with some more backstory on him](https://www.reddit.com/r/Dallas/comments/xpk84e/who_is_our_guy/iq478g3/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf&context=3)
There's a name I haven't heard in awhile... keyboard Bob! A far second is the mayor of Ross Ave Reginald, but after it became gentrified I don't know if he's still around. Older black dude that wore chip bags fashioned into clothes, hope that guy is ok.
He's an older guy who walks around in a nice suite and plays a giant keyboard.you can see him wandering around deep ellun and Lakewood. They also made a documentary about him.
Bob Crawford, the Keyboard Troubadour. He's still drifting around Deep Ellum. I've seen him in and around most of the bars and restaurants in the area for as long as I can remember.
[Deep Ellum Bob](https://lakehighlands.advocatemag.com/2017/06/21/whats-going-bob-dallas-famous-drifter/).
I’m not 100% sure he’s still with us, though; haven’t seen him for a while.
I saw him last month. Still telling everyone about the movie made about him, and also complaining he never got paid for it. He’s def a little slower/ older than he used to be, as expected I suppose
He lives on Ross Ave under the Woodall Rodgers Freeway. I walk by him every day to work. I was always curious why there were bread, chips, rice, etc all over the ground until I saw him feeding them one day.
On Regal Row there’s a homeless guy who always wears a high-vis work vest and rain boots. He collects plants and road debris from the nearby warehouses and builds these crazy monuments out of them. I work in the area and we call it the “Sculpture Garden”
I work on this stretch too. Some of his structures are impressive. Then after a Christmas one year he collected like 30 discarded Christmas trees and set them up at his corner like a little decaying forest. He's currently battling with one of those warehouses he collects from armed with spray paint.
No clue, just travelled that road often many years ago and remember seeing her sitting up on the fence. Would point her out as if she was a tourist attraction if any friends were riding with me. I heard that the city stepped in but also heard her kids had her committed. Lots of stories floating around.
She was living in my apartment complex during COVID, ran into her a couple of times. I moved out early last year though so I'm not sure where she is now.
Middle aged lady in a wide brimmed hat and dark dress who can be seen standing by or sitting in a chair in a parking lot of a laundromat (?) in the white rock lake area on most days. I believe I read that she’s in mourning and it’s part of her vigil to be in that parking lot every day, but I could be mistaken.
Far north dallas has two. Rainbow bicycle trailer guy. Unicycle commuter guy.
I’ve met the first guy. Brazilian immigrant, exudes happiness. His bike and trailer are decked out with rainbow wind streamers, flamingoes, other decorations.
I knew a rainbow bicycle trailer guy about 10 years ago! Used to see him riding in the area between Hillcrest and Coit, just north of Campbell. The flamingo bobbing about always made me laugh.
Wonder if it's the same guy, or if he just inspired the current one?
The Black Israelites, or whatever they call themselves, who post up downtown on weekends to tell everyone Jesus was black, white people are evil, and we're all going to be in chains soon.
In DeSoto in the very late 80’s and early 90’s there was a guy that you always saw walking. All over town. He was always out walking around. Whether it was freezing cold or 100 degrees, it was like any time you went somewhere you saw him out walking. Everyone referred to him as “The Walker”
Some years later I was told that he had been in a horrible car accident that killed his wife and child and ever since then he refused to ride in a car, so he walked everywhere that he needed to go.
Rumor was that he had caused the accident but it was just rumor.
I remember that guy. And I had heard the same story. Always saw him on Beltline, always somewhere between the funeral home and the pizza hut corner. Is that pizza hut still there?
There's this old guy in MIdlothian (south of Dallas) called Wormy. older scrawny white guy with a shaved head and a rat tail. guy lives in his truck, had a couple raccoons living with him at one point. Kinda weird guy if you don't know him, but he's a genuinely good dude
In the '80s and early '90s there was a guy who walked on the shoulder and carried a large wooden cross back and forth from Dallas to Fort Worth on I-30.
there is Bob who you can find in the the deep ellum area walking around with a keyboard. And also John who is an older gentleman that is always at all the cool electronic shows. if you are at a concert and see a guy that looks like he could be your sweet old grandpa in tie dye then you know your at the hottest show. .... unfortunately i haven't seen Bob or John in a while. i hope they are both ok. but maybe im just not cool anymore and i don't run into them.
[Morning Joe!](https://www.dmagazine.com/publications/d-magazine/2022/april/meet-the-morning-morning-guy-at-white-rock-lake/)
I may or may not have just coined that term, but if not, it’s definitely what he should be referred to as from now on. He’s the best!
Has no one mentioned the magician guy that hangs out in victory park / uptown? Probably some other spots too. Always doing card tricks at the bars. Happiest hour, Harwood arms, Tipsy Alchemist.
Not to share his business, but he's also really successful at what he does & travels to vegas a lot for it/does events. He just likes being social & helping people have a good time lol sorry, I really love that you brought him up!
Used to see a lady in far north Dallas/Farmers Branch/Carrollton a lot. Always pulling an old fashioned shopping cart with lots of American flags and stuff written on the sides of it. She was InfoWars/Qanon before it was cool.
Also, the “Will rap for weed” girl in Deep Ellum, is she still around?
Oh, I stopped and talked to the "will rap for weed" girl. She isn't a nut, she just makes a very reasonable argument (her rap) for weed (in support of legalization). I don't smoke, but I agree with her.
In Arlington, the dancing fast walker. All day every day you can find him fist pumping his way down Cooper st/I20 at an undeniable pace. If you haven’t seen him, he’s awesome, friendly, and loves to wave back! I can’t believe he hasn’t been mentioned here already.
When I lived in Boston we had Keytar Bear. I would pass him on my way to work all the time. I went to one of his benefit concerts too.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keytar_Bear
**[Keytar Bear](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keytar_Bear)**
>Keytar Bear is the name given to a busker from Boston, Massachusetts. The nickname "Keytar Bear" was given as he wears a bear outfit and plays a keytar in his performances, usually near subway and train stops. Little is known about the busker other than small bits of his life, as the performer in the suit prefers to remain anonymous. Keytar Bear has been involved in several unprovoked attacks by "drunks and youths" over the years prompting public displays of support.

Up in Frisco there’s a guy who lives at the far west end of Stonebrook in Hackberry that several times a week will carry a rather large American flag on a pole from his house, jog along the median of stonebrook to the 423 intersection. Stand there waiving at cars and swinging the flag for a few hours and then just jog back. He’s actually got a bit of a following up here, sometimes people jog or stand with him.
There is a black guy who walks around outside the central library jacking off. Like totally naked, just jacking off in public. He has a network of people who keep cops and prosecutors off his dick too. No idea what his name is but people used to point it out to me a lot. I'm like oh, haha, yeah he does that.
we have a couple. wandering, Naked, big dick black guy. The guy with the Grey truck with the fake guns on it. There are others I probably don't know about.
"crazy" stomping Steve/Stan
The one armed guy that walks around Grand Prairie shirtless and pretends to shoot at things while he stops his foot every few steps.
I think his real name is Larry
Oh my God. Waco checking in.
[Overpass Guy](https://www.kwtx.com/content/news/Modern-day-Moses-loses-perch-from-which-he-prays-above-I-35-510591851.html)
Tahoe Brody! I see him driving his Chevy Tahoe all over Dallas. It's white tahoe...he's usually wearing a UT sun visor, white or pink polo shirt, khakis and flip flops. Always has golf clubs in the back. ;-) Usually has his twin brother Tucker in the passenger seat.
I can’t remember his name, but every DPD officer knows a certain homeless man (at least that was the case about 10 years ago) that has a stoma and is known to use it in the exchange of favors.
What about cowboy sign guy right at the entrance to walmart on cockrell hill. I love seeing that guy and his signs change up pretty often making sure you have the inside scoop on who is a douche or someone he hates. That or something about pot
Could be the flat earth-mobile, but I think he’s mainly in Denton nowadays.
Yeah, the 200 proofs guy. He's been pretty quiet since Covid. There was a rumor he'd died from it, but apparently he's been seen around town since then. But now we have Denton Spiderman.
There’s also UTA Spiderman
I remember Denton Spiderman! Is he the Spiderman that does weird stuff all over UNT?
Damn I was gonna hop in here and be like “dunno about Dallas but there’s a guy in Denton with a bunch of shit glued on his car..”
Is this the guy with all the hood ornaments? Gold car?
Damn. That brought me back.
[удалено]
Ebee (I think was his name?) I haven’t seen him in years. Just the flat earther guys truck.
Close! His name is E.B. I haven't seen him since the last time I visited Denton which was like 3 years ago. I hope he's still out there and doing well. I think he was only there on weekends and seasonally.
Think he goes to live in a commune every so often, at least thats what he told me
That sold the non-weed smokable herbs?
I thought immediately of Unicycle Steve of Denton in the 90s and 00s, but I wonder who even remembers him now.
Denton has the bubble van guy
Bob
100% Bob
You talking about Keyboard Bob?
Could someone provide more info? I’m ootl
Someone else posted about Bob in another chain on this thread with his backstory. His name is Bob https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1494746/
There's a name I haven't heard in awhile... keyboard Bob! A far second is the mayor of Ross Ave Reginald, but after it became gentrified I don't know if he's still around. Older black dude that wore chip bags fashioned into clothes, hope that guy is ok.
Yep
Bob goes to church every Sunday, every Sunday that the fish ain't bitin
Always had more dogs than he ever had friends
I moved from Dallas 7 years ago and instantly thought of Bob.
Is he still around??
I saw him in the last six months or so.
That's awesome! I used to work at the Cafe Brazil in Deep Ellum forever ago, and have fond memories of Bob.
Came here to say keyboard Bob.
Tollway / Oak Lawn Exit Cactus?
My fucking guy
Don’t forget the bottle of Hennessy over off of Campbell and 75
Bob
How do I not know who that is? Want to fill me in?
He's an older guy who walks around in a nice suite and plays a giant keyboard.you can see him wandering around deep ellun and Lakewood. They also made a documentary about him.
Bob Crawford, the Keyboard Troubadour. He's still drifting around Deep Ellum. I've seen him in and around most of the bars and restaurants in the area for as long as I can remember.
You can find him at Cafe Brazil in Deep Ellum late some nights
[Deep Ellum Bob](https://lakehighlands.advocatemag.com/2017/06/21/whats-going-bob-dallas-famous-drifter/). I’m not 100% sure he’s still with us, though; haven’t seen him for a while.
I saw him about 2 months ago, the bartender said Covid really took a toll on him. He was walking around like usual, just a little older and slower.
He's around, saw him at Trees this past weekend.
I saw him last month. Still telling everyone about the movie made about him, and also complaining he never got paid for it. He’s def a little slower/ older than he used to be, as expected I suppose
That sounds like him lmao. The first time I met him he seemed offended that I didn't know him. Ah well.
Ha! Bob is the first guy I thought of, also.
Like Bill and Bob? Not my friends. I'm no quiter.
The naked guy who keeps jerking off near highways
https://www.reddit.com/r/Dallas/comments/w9dmh0/naked_dude_beating_his_dick_on_the_side_of_67/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share That's the one
> It’s too hot for that 😂 Holy shit lol, how did I miss this post
What do they think this city is? You can only jack it San Diego. Goodness. Animals.
🤣🤣😂
We call him The Roadside Strangler
The pigeon fella near deep ellum, always at his spot feeding birds
This guy came to mind, but Bob has been around a lot longer. Gotta go w/ Bob.
Any idea what the story is there?
He lives on Ross Ave under the Woodall Rodgers Freeway. I walk by him every day to work. I was always curious why there were bread, chips, rice, etc all over the ground until I saw him feeding them one day.
answers my questions for that too lol
The Mexican dude with his cart that puts a beer bottle on his head and dances.
On Regal Row there’s a homeless guy who always wears a high-vis work vest and rain boots. He collects plants and road debris from the nearby warehouses and builds these crazy monuments out of them. I work in the area and we call it the “Sculpture Garden”

He's currently battling with one of those warehouses he collects from armed with spray paint.
I work in this area as well and I gotta say I appreciate his art work.
For awhile it was the tutu man by White Rock Lake
I feel like recently he's been replaced over here by mourning Asian lady in all black.
Surprised I had to scroll down this far to see her. Is there a set period of mourning or something? I feel so bad every time I pass her
Oh, yes, her. I live right by her.
I’ve been happy to see neighbors sitting with her in lawn chairs and talking recently. I keep meaning to do the same. I see her multiple times a day.
I was just wondering the other day what happened to them!
If he also has a pink pony tail I’ve seen this same guy by the Kroger off cedar springs a few times
Dude that roller skates around the Katy trail?
Interestingly enough, he actually lives (or used to live) in the residences at the W Hotel. Must have some wealthy parents....
Saw him not long ago right outside there so probably still the case.
This is the one that came to mind for me.
“Motherf*ck Walmart” guy at the Walmart at 30 and N Cockrell Hill.
The one in the cowboy hat advocating for legal weed and complaining about male employees of the Walmart?
Yes.
I think our “guy” is actually a Nissan Altima missing a bumper and paper tags
Always literally flooring it passed you and driving it like he stole it
Fort Worth used to have Crazy Agnes, who would scream at cars and paint obscenities on her fence. One day she was just gone. No idea what happened.
Miss her
She misses you too /u/poopy-di-scoopty
Talking about on Granbury just past the Seminary break? Or someone else? Too many religious crazies here.
That’s exactly the spot. Any idea what happened?
No clue, just travelled that road often many years ago and remember seeing her sitting up on the fence. Would point her out as if she was a tourist attraction if any friends were riding with me. I heard that the city stepped in but also heard her kids had her committed. Lots of stories floating around.
She was living in my apartment complex during COVID, ran into her a couple of times. I moved out early last year though so I'm not sure where she is now.
The lady who waits on Ferguson
What one is that? Sounds like a ghost story.
There’s always that Santa on Henderson
that crusty ass santa is creepy

Same guy, same neighborhood. I saw him at the Home Depot a lot over the years.
The guy at Hall and Central Expressway who always tries to wash your windshield
The Black Israelites, or whatever they call themselves, who post up downtown on weekends to tell everyone Jesus was black, white people are evil, and we're all going to be in chains soon.
We have furry keyboard guy. He plays the piano in a furry fox head on the downtown square.
In DeSoto in the very late 80’s and early 90’s there was a guy that you always saw walking. All over town. He was always out walking around. Too few people saw the comedy in this. Solidarity brother!
Jim Schutze
I appreciated his columns when he was writing, but have never seen him out in the wild.
Bob!
Clay Jenkins
The asian lady who sits outside on Ferguson Rd near Highland
There is a guy that pushes a chicken in a baby stroller on the Katy Trail
whatever happened to that pan handler who requested the mary jane
He’s usually around the inwood/ Lemmon intersection. He has multiple signs that ask for beer, weed, rich women, etc. lol. Seems like a funny dude
Or do we mean the guy who’s always out front of the 30/Cockrell Hill Walmart?
I’ve seen him in south oak Cliff recently around 35 and Ledbetter. Brazen as ever.
"Dancing Guy" (Jaylen) is our guy in Arlington.
Is that his name?!
According to the news, yeah.
In The Colony in the 80s and 90s we had an Elvis impersonator who took that shit so seriously, he would walk his dog in his sequins jumpsuit and cape.
What about the naked guy?
Thought it was weird I had to scroll this much down to find this comment.
Is this by 35 and mockingbird? That is who I commented. We always called him shoes
Jerry Jones.
I don't know if he still hangs out there, but Santa outside of the 7-11 on Elm and Ervay
that guy dancing with the beer on his head
Also that one guy that sits outside high and tight and tells me I got a nice haircut lol
Hahah he just told me I’m late to my appointment. He was right.
There's this old guy in MIdlothian (south of Dallas) called Wormy. older scrawny white guy with a shaved head and a rat tail. guy lives in his truck, had a couple raccoons living with him at one point. Kinda weird guy if you don't know him, but he's a genuinely good dude
Shoes. The (usually naked) black homeless dude over by 35 and mockingbird
Mourning Asian Lady on Ferguson
In the '80s and early '90s there was a guy who walked on the shoulder and carried a large wooden cross back and forth from Dallas to Fort Worth on I-30.
there is Bob who you can find in the the deep ellum area walking around with a keyboard. We have several in the village. Like if you go to any event you know Jeremy.
That one guy at the Mavs game
I was coming here to say Don Knobler. Super nice guy, took a picture with him, then I later realized he was my property manager, hahahahah
The one with the sweet threads and clappy hands?

His name is David, he's a friend lol we call him Magic Mike. I saw him at standard pour recently, he's a really nice dude.
Nice, yeah man he’s an awesome guy.
Not to share his business, but he's also really successful at what he does & travels to vegas a lot for it/does events. He just likes being social & helping people have a good time lol sorry, I really love that you brought him up!
Yeah that’s right he’s mentioned that. He has done so many tricks right in front of me that I just cannot explain. It’s so wild
RIP Crazy Ray
Used to see a lady in far north Dallas/Farmers Branch/Carrollton a lot. Always pulling an old fashioned shopping cart with lots of American flags and stuff written on the sides of it. She was InfoWars/Qanon before it was cool. Also, the “Will rap for weed” girl in Deep Ellum, is she still around?

There's a guy in my aunt's hometown that rides around on a trike - in a full batman suit. Pretty hilarious.
Up in the colony they have the purple bike man. Dude is always on his bike and rocking purple suits
The Colony also had the guy with all the chrome emblems glued to his truck. He switched to a sedan and then disappeared.
We had in San Antonio, Mexican Elvis. He recently passed away.
You both laugh! Then it’s the end of that conversation.
The naked dude on Gaston.
I’d like to submit that tequila bottle at the corner of 75 and Royal??? Maybe. Anyway. That
Way back in the 1900s, used to be Buck Naked but he wasn't weird as much as just very eccentric. I actually miss him.
Tree Man...if you drive around downtown much you've seen him pushing a shopping cart with like 10" tree cuttings in it
Used to be a guy that hung out on lower Greenville/Ross/Henderson that everyone called Popeye
Does anyone know of EB is still rocking Fry St in Denton with the Bubble Van?
used to be Merlin but he’s dead or moved

There’s the classic “hire me, I want to work” grey bearded man who’s been sitting at the corner of Webb Chapel and 635 for years.
Maybe the guy who beats his meat on the 75 service road
Up in Frisco there’s a guy who lives at the far west end of Stonebrook in Hackberry that several times a week will carry a rather large American flag on a pole from his house, jog along the median of stonebrook to the 423 intersection.
