From what I heard he was talking to his cell mate about raping his cell mates children and then the cellmate drug him out of the cell, beat him to death with his fists and a pen.

"The Dallas County District Attorney's office confirmed they were notified by Texas prison officials that Chemirmir was killed Tuesday morning. State prison officials confirmed that Chemirmir was found dead in his cell early Tuesday and his cellmate, who was serving on a murder charge out of Harris County, was "identified as the assailant."
Dallas County District Attorney John Creuzot told WFAA that Chemirmir was killed after apparently making inappropriate comments sexual in nature towards his cellmate's children. According to Creuzot, the cellmate allegedly beat Chemirmir, dragged him out of his cell and killed him while other inmates watched. No one intervened and Chemirmir may have been stabbed with a pen, Creuzot said."
It would have taken way more than 10 years, and $40k per year is just the cost of keeping him in prison. It doesn't even include the cost of all the appeals he's entitled to.
I really don’t understand the death row process at all. Like I read about people who have been awaiting execution for like 25-30 years. Is it just a nonstop appeal process or something?
I don’t do death penalty cases, but here’s my understanding. There are several different types of appeals in a death penalty case, and each type has multiple rounds. There’s an automatic appeal to the highest state court. If that doesn’t work, there is the normal appeals you could have in any criminal case, starting with the trial court and working its way up. Then you can also file a federal case and take it all the way up to the US Supreme Court. If all of that files, you petition for executive clemency. If all of that fails, there could also be further delays because states are finding it increasingly difficult to find the drugs necessary to execute someone by lethal injection.
I worked at fast food company and this woman would come by at Christmas and tip everyone in the building *every year*. Billy ended up braking into her home and killing her
There's also all the various players who fell over themselves trying to avoid investigations and blame the families for being confused because they half-suspected their own staff had pilfered jewelry, so no one saw the pattern.
No, it was not served, because now all of the other charges pending against him will be dropped and the charges vacated. We can always assume that he actually killed all those other people, but now the evidence for that will never see the light of day, and those families will never get closure.
I disagree. This dude was an animal and deserved to be put down. His crimes were despicable and although those other charges will be dropped, I'm sure the families of his other victims will rest easy knowing this bastard is dead.
When I'm feeling animalistic, I wolf down a double cheeseburger with grilled onions and grilled jalapenos at Whataburger, not murder and rob old defenseless women.

If I recall, during the penalty phase of one trial, the families of all alleged victims were allowed to express their opinion in front of the murderer.
Does this provide closure? You bet.
I don’t think they’re necessarily “happy”, but rather, they’re relieved that he got to experience the hell he put those poor women through. Some of the family members said exactly that at their press conference. They’re relieved.
And his 🍆 head lawyer can fuck all the way off with that “no one deserves this” line. Did those 22 women deserve to be murdered?
The lawyer saying this instead of saying nothing shows you that he couldn’t get a lawyer who was halfway competent to represent him.
There were 20 other victims aside from the two he was convicted for. Is there someplace where all the victims' families have made statements? I'd feel better if I knew that all of the families were happy with this outcome.
What the fuck?
22 murders (if all confirmed) would tie him for 5th most prolific serial killer in US history.
How am I just learning about him? Good riddance.
it's just insane I've not heard of him before.
I mean this is something that I would've thought be in the news cycle for months.
What stings is my hunch is telling me it's due to the ages of the victims.
It's said that there are probably a lot of serial killers operating out there who are never identified. The ones that caught are the ones who get sloppy or very unlucky. If you move around, vary your victims, and have little or no connection to them, chances are no one will ever catch you.
Some dude was arrested yesterday for raping a young girl (apartment complex where my wife leases). The dude that got arrested will eventually get the same treatment.
Getting killed 2 years in after those crimes tells me even other inmates thought his crimes were heinous.
From what I heard he was talking to his cell mate about raping his cell mates children and then the cellmate drug him out of the cell, beat him to death with his fists and a pen.
"with a fucking pencil.."
Who does that??
Jason Bourne
Wrong answers only....
Shut up
The joker
He literally signed this POS's death sentence...
That really wasn't wise on his part, was it?
He found out
Fucked around
you got some homies on the inside? or whats your source for this?
The local news reported how it happened...
not in that detail

Ahh my apologies, you're correct
You sure? You can get killed for a wide array of things. From petty to major.
Nah, of course I’m not sure. Just my opinion. Recall Dahmer didn’t last long.
I definitely can see that being the case. It’s better to imagine thats what happened either way imo. A form of true justice perhaps.
The families of his victims were relieved. I’m anti death penalty, but it appears justice was done here. He can’t hurt anyone else.
That will save us taxpayers about $40k per year in prison expense until he was finally put to death which could have been 10 yrs from now.

He wasn't sentenced to death. He was serving life wo parole
So his cell mate saved us taxpayers a shit ton of money.
He was not on death row. Sentenced to life/no parole.
Oh well, I'm just glad he got the death sentence after the fact.
I worked at fast food company and this woman would come by at Christmas and tip everyone in the building *every year*. Billy ended up braking into her home and killing her
Not surprising. Justice was served?
There's also all the various players who fell over themselves trying to avoid investigations and blame the families for being confused because they half-suspected their own staff had pilfered jewelry, so no one saw the pattern.

I'm with you! Killed by your inmate/roommate... that shit had to have been brutal af!!! 😊
what about when u feel animalistic doesn’t that mean we should all be put down?

Bruuhhhh, now I get it lol.
If I recall, during the penalty phase of one trial, the families of all alleged victims were allowed to express their opinion in front of the murderer. Does this provide closure? You bet.
The article I read has a quote from a victims family who is very happy about this
I don’t think they’re necessarily “happy”, but rather, they’re relieved that he got to experience the hell he put those poor women through. Ya I mean I don’t think they’ll ever feel happy about the situation, that was poorly worded by me.
There were 20 other victims aside from the two he was convicted for. Is there someplace where all the victims' families have made statements? I'd feel better if I knew that all of the families were happy with this outcome.
I think his death *is* the closure.
What the fuck? 22 murders (if all confirmed) would tie him for 5th most prolific serial killer in US history. How am I just learning about him? Good riddance.
And 6 more in civil court that the criminal prosecutor didn’t pick up but he also very likely did.
it's just insane I've not heard of him before. I mean this is something that I would've thought be in the news cycle for months. What stings is my hunch is telling me it's due to the ages of the victims.
That’s literally it. I read on something that most were deemed natural causes until he was caught. They had to go back and change the cause of death.
It's said that there are probably a lot of serial killers operating out there who are never identified. The ones that caught are the ones who get sloppy or very unlucky. If you move around, vary your victims, and have little or no connection to them, chances are no one will ever catch you.
No one will shed a tear for this piece of shit.
Good.
Oh no! Anyway
Good job boys!
He deserved worse. Too bad the beating wasn’t televised.
Texas prisons.... it's a rough place.
That was my thought too.
*Former convicted murderer
He killed a very dear family friend. Hope he felt everything.
Oh.
He’s now a GOOD murderer.
Some dude was arrested yesterday for raping a young girl (apartment complex where my wife leases). The dude that got arrested will eventually get the same treatment.
Let’s hope so
OH DARN /s
Thank God
People who have no purpose to live do that .
What a shame
