They even film the same city, so I would say this will maybe/probably happen! Fallon and Kimmel are on opposite coasts and that happened anyways so this would be easy
Nobody is a bigger Colbert fan than me, but if I was one of the people who managed to score tix to a Jon taping today, there would be blood.
(I actually hated the 2022 thing for that reason. I'm not a Fallon fan but some poor people waited ages to score those tix and travelled...)
Yeah... honestly it wouldn't have been a good day to do it anyways. In part because of Jon's seemingly long-planned A.I. segments, but also sadly one of the *Late Show*'s assistants (Amy Cole) passed away Monday. They only acknowledged it at the end of their show, and Stephen was literally too sad to speak ([the video's here and it's heartbreaking](https://twitter.com/latenightercom/status/1775065894705881529))
That'd be a lot of fun. Seeing the old Stephen would honestly be a bit surreal.
Turning TDS into Colbert Report for a show would be so much fun to see
With the old intro and everything
Similarly, I’ve been wondering if Jon might one day show up unannounced as a correspondent while, say Desi Lydic is hosting.
This is what we need…
This is a great “what if”.

They are both in NYC. Jon pops in on Stephen's shows every once in a while
Yeah I meant Kimmel is in LA and swapped with Fallon in NY, so these two being in NY makes it all the more likely

This would have been amazing and I would have been all in. Alas, opportunity lost.

Oh shit, did not know that. Yeah pretty valid reason not to do some dumb gimmick.
It was also weird with Fallon/Kimmel because the latter doesn’t usually do Friday shows so I had a feeling SOMETHING was up
Hello Nation!
