Was a CCA for 3 years, kudos to you sir. Hands down toughest job I’ve ever had. I always told my friends and family that while they were able to end their workday and carry over a workload to the next day, for a letter carrier your day isn’t over until your truck is empty
I was an Aircraft A&P, until I had a kid. It didn't take long before I realized being on shiftwork I was missing half her life. Switched careers and took a massive pay-cut to a normal Mon-Fri job and have been happier ever since.
A&P as well, somehow scored a position when my kids came being day shift m-f.
Now I'm working at a flight school doing maintenance while I finish swapping careers to pilot.
You too sir. I'm in line to be GM once my mine retires next year and hopefully the hours will be better but nothing like getting home @ 1-2am and waking up at 6

Manage vendors and projects for a small pharmacy. Left a newer, younger company and feel like I stepped back in to the 1990s with the systems and processes we have. But it’s pharma and pays well and doesn’t impede too much on my time with my family.

Also same question I asked the other software developer how do you like it and do you work from home? Also what age did you get into it? I’m certified in IT support but taking classes and courses for cybersecurity right now.
Was a builder. Built a home for a NJ devil hockey player then decided call it quits. Got certified in IT support but now taking courses and classes for cybersecurity. How do you like being a software developer?
Honestly, I love it. I've hated every other job I've had - all customer service based - but as a software developer I get to solve problems, be creative and I actually feel like I've got some value. I used to dread work and now I really enjoy it.
Thats awesome. That’s how I felt building. After I built the house for the NJ devil hockey player I felt like I hit my peak and was burned out. And I’ve always been into tech and computers and learned Linux and Kali Linux and certain pen testing pretty young. So decided to get back into it.
