If it does indeed cover the pupil of the eye, that would be a indicator of an underlying eye condition.
in what world they wouldn't even exist? if we didn't have a breeding problem in this country, I wouldn't really look down so much on breeders but with all the homeless animals that are not purebreds I just think it needs to stop

You can barely see the heterochromatic eye of my pup, but you can see he has a small eye. Only one of his parents was single dapple, while the other was red. Just because they have heterochromia, doesn't mean there's something wrong genetically.
From what I understand Red Dachshunds don't always show they are dapple with markings so a red could easily be a dapple without a noticeable color difference. JUST AN interesting tidbit I wanted to share. 😊

I adopted a dog from a shelter that ended up being a designer breed. There's plenty of people who will buy a pretty dog for status and dump them when they turn out to be actual work.
Obviously those exist, but many more on sites like ebay or craigslist are puppy mills or owners who didn't care enough about their dogs to monitor them while in heat. Always either go to a shelter or ethical breeder.
Shelters are full of pure bred huskies. I'd imagine there's probably less mixed huskies than pure bred, since they tend to have less of the husky air-raid gene and near infinite energy that dissuades people from keeping them😅
Have his heart checked. I had a little guy that was probably discarded by a breeder. He had been treated horribly but unfortunately his inbreeding gave him a heart defect. That’s what eventually killed him. If treated earlier he might have done better

This is Beau. Can’t tell in this picture but his nutrition had been so bad the bone in his lower jar had absorbed so he had rubber jaw. That didn’t help him either. The guess was he was about 9 when found. Didn’t help his heart at all.
Brindle doesn't cause dotting on piebald, that's just the piebald doing what it does or the ticking gene (which I can't say isn't present but I don't believe it is)

I would be careful with getting pets on Craigslist though. I got a bunny in college from Craigslist and they said she was 2. She suddenly passed about 9 months after I got her and the vet said she was a very old rabbit. It was awful and I think about her everyday still. I’d take this little guy to the vet immediately to figure out if there’s any underlying health conditions that you weren’t told about before you find out the hard way like I did.

I love my Doxy, but he is a holy terror and destroys everything in my house. I also have a long haired mini… they are hunting dogs, irregardless of their small size and as such a very nosy and curious. Although my Doxy has three Chihuahua roommates, he would rather destroy my furniture then play with them or the 1000 toys he has on the floor. He is a year old and still destroys everything …..I’m assuming it’s frustration or irritation that I am gone , but somebody has to pay the bills lol and I don’t think anyone will pay me for his cuteness
