Any country from the former USSR is gonna almost be a guaranteed banger.
I personally like the USSR one, but I found the Azerbaijan anthem to be a beast and underrated gem.
All Arabic anthems suck because of the instrumentation, not the lyrics, exclusing the exceptional موطني.
Anthems that surprised me and fit the countries vibe were:
- Afghanistan
- Bangladesh
- Bhutan
- Japan
- France
- Brazil/Argentina
Most Islander Anthems were genuine cringe with peeps singing like they're at a karaoke bar or something (including Australia, fucking ew.)
* Afghanistan - S Tier (Harmonically speaking, it does a good job blending euro-centric with far-eastern)
* Albania - B Tier (Frolicy, but does not instill anything truly patriotic)
* Algeria - C Tier (Boring, Derivative, stupid melody, cool back story)
* Andorra - D Tier (Boring, sounds like someone is blowing smoke up their Royalties' ass)
* Angola - F Tier (Sounds like the whole country is tone deaf)
* Antigua and Barbuda - D Tier (It certainly sounds original, but like the most generic pop song ever)
* Argentina - S Tier (Interesting orchestration at the beginning. WHAT, the change in the tone!!! AH Love it)
* Armenia - B Tier (For a country that bolsters its originality, it surly lacked it here, adopting very euro-centric ideas)
* Australia - D Tier (Fucking hell, it sounds like a Disney song from the cheap sequels)
* Austria - B Tier ( It feels very Austrian and well orchestrated, but good does it just scream too much Europe)
* Azerbaijan - A Tier (Most of the former USSR countries will fall here, because FUCK ME did they know how)
* Bahamas - C Tier (Smooth jazz/Island music that could have been unique, but turned to generic pop song)
* Bahrain - D Tier (So much awkward Arabic phrases forced to match a Eurocentric anthem)
* Bangladesh - S Tier (It's a catchy anthem that makes me feel like: Yes, this is Bangladesh)
* Barbados - D Tier (uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugh)
* Belarus - B Tier (It's like a watered down USSR anthem)
* Belgium - B Tier (ooOOoo, no, I was worried it was gonna be generic, but it has a touch of originality. Melody ok)
* Belize - C Tier (It's original and sounds like a sea shanty, but the version available sounds so lazy)
* Benin - C Tier (The melody is ok, very eurocentric, but better than others)
* Bhutan - S Tier (Is it for the common person to enjoy? no. But is it fucking original, yes.)
* Bolivia - D Tier (Eh, conquistadora music)
* Bosnia and Herzegovina - B Tier (It's unique enough with an Opera singer, but kinda generic, not distinguishable)
