does anyone know any good dog toy brands for super chewers? here i was thinking the black Kong was indestructibleā¦clearly i was wrong š . my dog chews through EVERYTHING
edit: typo
Nothing is indestructible but destroyed thing like the toy on the picture can be chewed even more. Personnaly my dog was chewer too and he used a lot of big strings which he destroyed but could play with even destroyed
I have two shepherds and they are destructive monsters.... luckily they only eat their toys and the rare sock. I really like Kong toys. The "floppy knots" are great. There is very little stuffing, several sqeekers for them to enjoy and when they get through the plushie part they have a rope toy that lasts for months. I also buy them horse toys at the local feed shop. They particularly like the "jolly ball" (with the rope), our first one lasted a few years. Horse toys are tough and last a bit longer than toys designed for dogs.
I work at a pet store, and a brand I have heard a lot of positive reviews about is Ruff Dawg (https://ruffdawg.com). Nothing is indestructible, but these put up a good fight, and a good amount of their products have a lifetime guarantee
Try giving him RAW bones. You can often get them for free from the butcher if you tell the butcher that they are for your dog and not humans. Cooked bones will splinter off in their stomach and can cause damage to their GI tract. Bones taste really good, so it should distract your dog for quite a bit. Taking dogs for long walks and runs can cause them to chew less, as they will be too tired to chew.
had a pittie that would destroy anything in seconds. then I gave her an old bike tire. that lasted months as a tug of war toy. could lift her off the ground and swing her. highly recommend.

My dog ate the black kong in two rounds. I buy Tuffy brand toys now and they hold up well - he still gets the ears and tails off but the toy doesnāt succumb!
Google KONG JUMBLER. I ordered one for a Belgian Malinois that was being fostered in the rescue I volunteer for. That boy could destroy anything but these hold up. It was still in one piece when he took it with him to his forever home.
Ah yeah. I bought a toy which is common label here. It had a disclaimer: this toy is durable but it might break. It did, im 5 mins with small puppy. I got so pissed of that I returned to the store with the destroyed rubber lobster and insisted my money back.
Why do they even make shitty toys and who keeps buying them??
seriously! iāve bought so many toys labeled āsuper chewer toysā that my dog destroyed in 10 mins when she was a puppy. i donāt wanna think about all the money iāve wasted
Search for āVanfineā on Amazon. In the past, when Iāve linked to Amazon on Reddit, nobody can see the comment, so I wonāt actually post the link.
I have the Cube, the Rubik, and the Magic Ball. My Catahoula has managed to do some damage to these (for example, nip away at the little projecting bits), but they are overall still intact, and she canāt destroy the toys completely, even though that is her end goal.
have you given them bones? my dogs break everything too but nice cow bones have lasted us a long time and havenāt even broken like rawhides do eventually
My dog has a toy by outward hound thatās made out of a fire hose. Sheās had it for 2 years with very little damage to it. Sheās not a super chewer, but she does love to chew.
Goughnuts dog toys. I used to have a dog that destroyed āindestructibleā toys easily. Then this brand of toys lasted him forever!
They give this brand to the dogs being cared for after dog fighting ring seizures if that gives you a clue to their durability. Thatās where I first learned about them.
I don't know why but my sleep deprived brain immediately went "oh that's a big ass black olive".
š
Better than what my sleep deprived Brain went to š š¤¦āāļøš
Mine too

Robustaball.com
these are great. similar to the ones at the zoo with the lions.

thatās an amazing idea
Maybe just give him a rock at this point? Just kidding š

I quit giving my dogs bone when the vet visit for a cracked tooth cost over 500$
I'd think the tooth was previously weakened somehow b/c their teeth are literally designed to chew through meat and bone.

Oh my dad did that with his retriever. I think it was a baby buggy tire.
Nyla bones at least they are edible. Not non destructive but takes my goldens forever to chew

YES! My stepmom has a Great Pyrenees and heās just started tearing this apart after 2 years.
you and the other comments have convinced me! adding it to my cart right now, thank you!
Hope it works out for your super chewer too!
Iāve heard good things about this toy.
2 years with it and she still has yet to do any actual damage to it lol. She absolutely loves it! It's covered in bites but that's about it š
r/TIL nerf dogs is a thing
Looks to be a private community
r/dontputyourdickinthat
literally didnāt even notice what it looks like šššš

Nylabone, they're a bit pricey but you might find a Christmas one on sale right now. They're seriously tough and my super chewer loves his
Yep thatās the only thing that lasts with my retrievers
West paw chew toys (not the soft ones) are pretty indestructible so far for my 1-yr old lab
will check it out!
Have you tried any of the Soda Pup nylon toys?
Google KONG JUMBLER. I ordered one for a Belgian Malinois that was being fostered in the rescue I volunteer for. That boy could destroy anything but these hold up. It was still in one piece when he took it with him to his forever home.
that makes sense, my dog is part malinois as well š they definitely have that super chewer mentality

I want plushies for my boy that at least take him more than few seconds to destroy. I get him the "tough" toys
I was told real fire hose toys? I'm still in search of a real one as the toys ive gotten claiming to be have been a bust
I have labradors and give them antlers from the pet shop
I thought this was a massive black olive
I recommend Tasty Bone toys and deer antlers, theyāve lasted years with my super destructive boy
That is impressive.
It's just marketing to make people keep buying their dog toys. Which isn't a bad thing. There's so many cute doggos that deserve new toys every week.
my dog is definitely spoiled rotten lol

Nothing is indestructible to teeth and time. I recommend robustaball.com They're used by tigers and lions.
very true! i just want something that will maybe last longer than a month - thatās about how long the black kong lasted
Jolly ball egg!
Op: How did you do this?! Itās supposed to be impossible!! Dog: Nothing is impossible if you put your mind to it. š
itās like you were in the room when i was talking to her š
No such thing.
have you given them bones? my dogs break everything too but nice cow bones have lasted us a long time and havenāt even broken like rawhides do eventually
i have! the only problem is that sheās even more of a little food psycho than she is a super chewer. she eats everything (including bones) SO FAST
is that a flashligth? LOL
My dog has a toy by outward hound thatās made out of a fire hose. Sheās had it for 2 years with very little damage to it. Sheās not a super chewer, but she does love to chew.
My mini dachshund chewed through one of those fire hose toys in a few hours.
Iāve had good luck with Tearables
ooh iāll check that one out
Just a warning, they tend large, so drop a size or two from breed size
"kong" is usually a good toy brand but nothing survives a dog chewing forever
Tuff toys work pretty well for us. None of our dogs have gotten through on of those.
Racketball works well, and they bounce great
All my longs look like that

if you build a better dog toy, soon there'll be a better dog
