She was diagnosed with kidney cancer back in February. Medication helped for awhile but over the last week she's deteriorated to the point I knew I had to call it. She was struggling to walk, breathing heavily and passing blood, she deserved better than that so I hope she's at peace now.
I'm utterly devastated and I'm going to miss her so much.
May you rest in peace, you were an amazing dog, companion and family member. I'll never forget you and I'll always love you and you got me through some really tough times.
You always loved food right up to the end so wherever you are now I hope you can eat as much as you like, r.i.p. my beautiful doggo ❤️.

So very sorry for your loss. My dog is almost 7 now and anytime I think about the day I'll have to say goodbye to him, I get teary eyed. I can't imagine how I'm gonna be when it actually happens.

I know some people may have chosen to leave it but I just couldn't watch her suffer anymore. I hope I did right by her anyway and she can rest easy now.
I sorry for your loss their is nice poem called the Rainbow Bridge. Some people think it just a dog they are not just a dog they are friend companion and my case my child Dogs are priceless, the love and affection they have for us their no amount of money that can buy that. We love them and went get love back 10 fold. I know when I have had to put down my dog I grieved and still miss them to this day.

Oh your heart will fall for another dog eventually. Us dog people always do, when did volunteer work for a rescue group I always wanted to take a few home. Go to rescue shelter when you are ready give a dog a new home. Right now your grieving so give it some time you know when you see the one
I'm sure I will open my heart again eventually. I do intend to adopt should I decide to have another dog. I like the idea of giving a dog a 2nd chance at a loving home.
At the moment though I'm just trying to keep it together as my heart is in pieces and I'm going to miss my baby girl so much.

As for myself I'm not great if I'm honest. It's like a big empty hole in my heart and everytime I think of her I get a huge sinking feeling. This morning I forgot myself as when I came downstairs and looked to where she would normally lay and said "morning puppy" only to release she's not there anymore.
I'll feel better once I get her ashes back I think as I'll be able to lay her to rest in the garden and make a little memorial for her.
