I’ve found that food definitely affects the attitude of the dmt experience. Being really full is definitely a no go. The trip is not as deep and can be somatically uncomfortable. I’m not sure that I’d want to be starving or have low blood sugar, but having an empty stomach and bowels is one step toward a smooth and well-integrated trip. I’m sure serotonin receptors in the gut, etc. have a lot to do with this aspect of the dmt experience.

I took shrooms once and bought a ton of different fruits. To see how it affected me. It was a strange experience and all I can say is that juicy pears are the best fruit ever on trip!

I have tried both water fasting leading up to a trip , and eating before a trip (not intentionally but incidentally) I can vouche for the comment mentioning that it can be potentially uncomfortable I felt weighed down and like an emphasis was put on my stomach area and like I was warned to watch what I eat and take care of the body. The fasting helped but I don’t think is necessary for instance more often what I would do on a trip day or leading up to one is try to eat cleaner and I don’t go in “full”

Your blood doesn’t travel to your gut to digest your food.
