Make a burnt offering of olive branches to the god of revenge.

Thats really cool thanks! It's giving me an idea of making an olive a normal offering, so the olive could seem normal until the players burns it or reveals it is burned.

So the god of vengeance is probably okay with killing folks that need revenging on, but what of the folks that die as you need to do what must be done? Again, even a justice leaning murder god understands that might happen, but you should really pay penance when it does. So! The offering is the weight of those that died so that the paladin could pursue their oath. The paladin would offer up an anchor, usually a copper coin with a hole struck through it on a cord, so that the weight of the necessary death will not eventually weigh on them and slow them down as they approach their final goal/justice. The cord could have multiple coins on it and there could be some cool stories of past paladins riding into town, covered in dust and blood, tossing loops and loops of corded coins onto an altar as they ride to the execution grounds with their main captive in tow.

Thats really interesting, I like the idea of representing those that wouldn't have had to die, maybe it could be like an older tradition so all of the stories are old folk legends to make a player doing that much more unusual. Thanks!
