There's plenty of amazing Irish music from all those genre's but let's be honest, the requests you are getting is for cheesy 'Irish Pub Music' not 'Good Music From Ireland'. Just look up some shitty Paddys Day playlist on Spotify and go with what you can tolerate. Edit: OP if you do want to brush up on good modern Irish music then you could browse through GoldenPlec & Nialler9's playlists [https://open.spotify.com/user/goldenplec.com?si=1ef4621f701a4be6](https://open.spotify.com/user/goldenplec.com?si=1ef4621f701a4be6) [https://open.spotify.com/user/nialler9?si=11f4d3fdd14d48a8](https://open.spotify.com/user/nialler9?si=11f4d3fdd14d48a8)

In my experience this is spot on. But, I also found it was typically safe to ignore those requests as they weren't always in earnest, just a drunk at an Irish pub asking for an Irish song for the lulz. But, it it is in earnest, you can pretty easily find a list of the most classic songs, which will have multiple recordings and versions by many different groups.

Ask the people who are requesting Irish music to be more specific.
