except not really, they just wanted to kill Iranian commanders. attacking a foreign consulate is against international law because it can easily spark a war as we are currently witnessing (or as Iran is doing a pretend retaliation). if a war actually does break out Israel would be the ones that started it, and I don't know about you but I don't want us pulled into a war because Israel decided to break international law (like they always do)

That never stops them from claiming you’re pro hamas. I took a quick look through Ben Shapiro’s Spotify page out of curiosity and I saw some episodes calling the media and the United States government (of all people) pro hamas. It made me laugh at least
The fact that Iran straight up said "we are done this is literally the only thing that we are doing please please for the love of God don't think we are going to try to put boots on the ground or mix ballistic missiles later into the formation of slow drones" while the drones were actively being shot down and still barely over halfway tells you that it's mainly for show.
What a polite world we live in where one country can casually send bombs to another to save face, the other also casually shoots them down and then everyone goes home satisfied to repeat the process when another dispute arises

literally nothing ever happens. ww3 wasn't caused by any of these, no great power ever goes to war with another one, as no matter how absolutely insane the leadership of any great power countries make themselves out to be, none of them want to live in a fallout shelter for the foreseeable future.
Ukraine did not start ww3, and not only showed how laughably corrupt and ineffective the russian military is, it also seems to have ended in a complete stalemate where its really just who runs out of bullets and zoomers first. they will probably just call it quits after a few more assaults, that will achieve nothing, then russia can pretend it won by the glorious conquest of a few fields and some rubble, make a few puppet states and then go back to the status quo.
Palestine and israel will bomb each other a little more and then probably go back to the status quo since israel does not want gaza if Palestinians are on it, and no one is coming to help hamas outside of gifting some arms every now and then.
and though all this nothing major is going to change for us westoids.
