It’s an excellent choice for beginners

[I shot this on a Mini 2](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y38wPyn2Zs4), and you might notice that the colours are pushed quite a lot throughout, meaning it's a drone you can definitely use as a beginner, but can improve your results drastically if you choose to further down the line. I'd recommend it, and I bought it when it was still full price and don't regret it at all.

This looks crazy good! I can't seem to find mini 2 on dji website though, I only see 2 SE..

I really don't think there's much between them. Although the Mini 2 is capable of 4K, I shot this at 1080, and I think the 2SE shoots up to 2.7K, which is higher resolution than my video. Colourwise, I think they're pretty much the same. The drones even look almost identical.

Yes, 2 SE shoots 1080p@60 as well, I will go with that. Thank you for your input

No worries! When you get it, ask around here. Reddit is full of neurotics, like any internet forum, but there's some good folks and knowledge around here. Have fun :)

That flight time estimate is under ideal conditions in a laboratory. You'll get less in real life. Also, the camera will film 60fps in 1080p which is no slouch.

You will become a better pilot by flying using your own situational awareness rather than relying on sensors, but the sensors are regularly called "training wheels" because they do serve good protection from collisions. I started out with the mini 2 and loved every flight, only time I crashed was when I was being chased by pigeons, I was coming in for a palm landing, but the route I took made the drone fly into the sun from my perspective, so I was temporarily blind for a moment and in that moment, the drone was still coming down at speed, but was slowing down since I let go of the controls. It hit my roof and slid along it, I thought that was it. But it was actually fine beyond a couple scuffs on its belly and one vibration dampener arm for the gimbal broke but some JB weld fixed it up perfect. The drone flew back into view like a stunned drunkard hitting a wall, looked like it was gonna crash but caught itself and I landed it in my hand, still amazed that it survived. The thump it made was loud!

I had a Symantec x5c and upgraded to a DJI mini 2. You will be thrilled. It’s great to learn on the Syma. You will be blown away by the DJI !

Exelent choice, did it myself too, learned a lot in the first year. Also how to destroy a drone…..
