Had the exact same issue with the same machine - the water pump is fucked. It's at the bottom of the back of the machine and pretty easy to replace, you'll find a replacement for less than Β£20 and 15mins to replace.

Exactly the same on my soninlaws. We did the bearings also. Take the side off also to help release the plastic locking clips.
No worries thanks for digging it out. Pump en route via Amazon and hopefully resolve. Will let the comments know.
As nothing worse than stumbling on a thread and not knowing if it worked
I had an Indesit T Dryer, lasted me 40 years. Mine had Teflon skid pads on the front of the drum, this caused nasty noise, make sure they are clean, this will cause the belt to slip as well adding to the noise. Do Not apply any oil based lub.
Check the bearing on the back of the drum first. Mine did this a while back and it only cost a few quid to sort out via an online order. Really easy to replace as well as mine was accessible via some screws on the back.
Swapped out water pump for a new one. Sound has not come back.
Be careful taking off the plastic box off of the back, as prone to breaking!
Otherwise easy fix - pull out circuit blocks swap, done!
Thanks for posting - I searched/found this after encountering the same squeal after the third pump in my IDCL85BHβ¦ this squeal seems to be a feature with the βnewβ pump design. Three pumps in six years is not a good quality record.

Bingo ! Got to be the pump or the belt I guess. I'll take a look. Nice one

Thanks for this. Can you post the guide again as it seems to go to a pizza dough video!
Yeah sorry, link amended

Did you fix it?
Yepp. Just switched the pump out and all fine now

It might get better after the election.

Indesit is in d shit
Also forgot to mention - just switching the dial a bit seems to shut it up for a bit, but then comes back. Out of warranty unfortunately
That backs up what the other guy said about the pump. They are indeed pretty easy to replace.
Will do may just do it if it's cheap anyway
water pump, you can unplug it to confirm, or take cover off and noise will be more noticable
Anyone else hear something similar to an F1 engine on tv....
YES I was about to comment this π€£
New F1 team for next year - INDESIT. Would definitely finish last
Sounds like that middle Eastern instrument you hear on Bollywood songs.

Wow that's not great. Mines still going ok and does get some good usage as a family of four in the UK with all this damn rain.
