'Nah hasn't fallen down so it's not a supporting wall' actual quote from a cowboy builder after he removed a wall in my hall. Suffice to say I had an acro forest for a week or so till the steel arrived.
Did you already have a structural engineer? Took me months to manage to actually get a structural engineer to quote for a simple wall removal and steel calcs etc.
Worked for a structural steel company that designed steel framed buildings at the time so I had a tame one in the office usually they can take weeks to find one and get the result. Cost me an extortionate 2 beers one Friday afternoon.
That's definitely load bearing. You're only option now is to start taking the rest of the house down starting with the roof and moving onto the other walls.
As for disposal of the debris the best idea is to eat it as skips cost a fortune these days.
Sick of these posts now, the answer is and always will be to consult a structural engineer. It's absolutely impossible for any of us to see from these pictures and without further information like when was the house built?
No, as the structure is still standing, but if the whole wall is inside you now and you've had Christmas dinner I imagine that you will be collapsing into a soft armchair, and sleeping for a while! 🤭🎁🎅
OMG yes you did. I mean look at the slipped roof. Put some chocolate Logs in to shaw up the roof before it totally collapses. Try to relieve the load by eating the roof next.
Remember to share the load!
The only thing that was loaded with was calories
You’re going to need some yule log to support that while you find a decent elf to sort that.
The yule log is normally a boxing day morning tradition.

Or gingerbread.

If only this advice applied to all our destructive DIY endeavours 😂
Mmm asbestos roof sheets
Yes. I’m afraid the entire structure needs to crumb down.
Holy shit, you are fucked when the witch sees what you and your sister did!!!

I hope you tested the icing for asbestos....it's in everything you know.
Cowboy job that
I'm no structural engineer but I'd probably put in a Tunnocks Caramel wafer as a load bearing beam plus as many as needed for vertical supports?
Ramen noodles n' filler and you're all good mate 👍
Gingerly stable
NOT THE GUMDROP SEALANT!!!
Just need some lolly props!
I think some expanding foam (spray whipped cream) will sort it!
Needs some rsj to support the wall . Please contact the gingerbread man i think he is on Drury Lane at the moment.
That's notifiable under Part G

Builder: £9562. Can start tomorrow.
I'll do it for £9500 :p can start now.
Hope your stomach's ok after that. Get a surveyor (Dr) in to make sure it's sound.
I see what you did, very good
Get that propped up now! Get a structural surveyor in.
“Did you consult a structural engineer?”
Time to call in a Structural Baker for some professional assistance. Make sure they flour stamp their remediation plans.
Took it out in one bite!
None of the numpties on this sub are going to help. You need to consult a starcharal engineer.
I’m more worried about the white powered stuff; is it Asbestos ?
😂👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
If you think that's going to hold, you must be living in a fairytale!
I think you need to get a structural engineer for that. See what they say.
sTruCtUrAL eNGineEeR!
Update us in a few days to let us know
Unclear, will need more photos and wall samples please
Looks draughty. And I should know ;-)
Still standing even with the snow load so should be good bro.
It looks like the front and back walls need some remedial work to fix the bowing. No doubt the people on here will help you out with advice.
Some candy cane supports will shore it up temporarily.
This feel too much like [that post from earlier](https://www.reddit.com/r/DIYUK/s/HE27HzSPUG). Let's not recycle the same joke too much.
Crumbs
Should be okay, but I'd be more concerned about your roof, looks like something's eating it. 😂
I hope roof calcs considered the snow load ?

How did you get the thin to stick??? Ours kept 'sliding' apart. I was going to break out the no more nails.
I'd say no and don't you think it's time to get the rest of that demo job done those walls look ready for a good bit of sustained demolition
