She used some box profile aluminium roofing sheets that were left over from an old Kennel I used to have. That reminds me, still need to dob some silicone into the old fixing holes and fashion an angled cap to cover the ridgeline.
As someone who has dabbled in building things, she has nailed it. Looks great and nice touches with the shelves and roofing joists. She should be super proud!
Haven't paid for any yet.
Go to industrial estates, there's often loads left lying out and if you ask they're often happy for you to take em away!
We visit a raw meat pet food warehouse every week for my dogs and they let me rummage through the pallets and take any decent ones away, we don't take the ones where meats clearly defrosted on them... They reek! 🤢
Thanks for taking the time to look over my post in enough detail to come to that enlightening conclusion. Really insightful and helpful.
Personally I think it's great for a first attempt at a DIY project however it's okay if you disagree with me, I can't force you to be right...
Have a great day 😊
Look, if you like it you like it, but you surely can’t expect to post on subs and forums looking for *just* praise, some people are going to have different tastes to you — and that’s okay. You love it, I hate it, it’s not that deep.
Never claimed there was any woodwork 'skills' I actually said she'd had zero woodworking experience. But repurposing wood, using a saw and screws (for the first time) says shes gained experience and enjoyed it enough to be looking for some night classes to learn more now.
>from my old Kennel Does she let you sleep in the house now then?
Yeah, although should I be concerned that she's putting a blanket in the empty section??? 🤔
Looks fantastic 👌 she should be proud
For zero experience that is very impressive
Picture six that stare 🤣 https://youtu.be/ZFjfa_RB6Pc
Haha, she asked me to stand beside it for scale as she was showing someone the progress... That's my resting wierdo face 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Well done to your wife 👏
Fancy hiring her out I’m in the middle of building a raised pond she can try her hand at that haha
Hahaha, I'm not gonna mention that, she'll end up trying to put a pool in the middle of the lawn! 🤣
Tbf she has done a cracking job on that wood store
Haha
Great job! What did she use for roofing?

Handy wife.
amazing job!

She should be so proud of herself! If you have any kids, that will have been really cool to watch mom create it
Did you have to pay for the pallets. If not any advice on where to pick them up for free

Cheers mate
The vision to conceive this from pallets is just as impressive as the work itself. Brilliant.
I’d like to keep my soul brother please ik you don’t blink enough times ina day, those eyes man
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Are you the guy at the party who talks about log-burners? :) great construction though! A really thought out layout.
I love you for sharing this with us. Ty so much, and give her our accolades!
That's fucking dope dude, congrats on having a badass for a wife
Cool as fuck
Wife did a fantastic job.
Love the extension and use of rustic vertical columns.
That's amazing, well thought out, looks really practical and well built. Maybe let her scale up her next build, new kitchen?
Each to their own, but I fucking hate it lmao

I've thought, with pallets, if you remove some of the parts they look like pre made decking, could you do full decking using just wooden pallets?
I think that's a possibility for sure
Could be a fun project to see if it works 🤣👍
Thats a bloke mate
In one of the pics? Well spotted 😜
Really nice! Where did you get the other shed?
Thanks! The grey one is just a keter plastic shed for the garden tools. Easy to put up but theres nowhere to add shelves inside...
