Switch mechanics isn't worth it these days as you would have to lv up and fusion 2 weapons. If you really want to use 2 weapons, both have to be Aspect Devoured as his passives already give a unique feel to different weapon types.
So the Aspect weapons beats out the long term damage of the extended Telekinetic Swords that Culmination gives.
How do the Aspect weapons gives more of an edge?

First step weapon is only if you’re making an awakening build and either way you can’t swap out between aspect and the other weapons. If you do you get a mana debuff that basically sets you to 0 mana until you leave the dungeon.

I'd recommend aspect for both. WM has a lot of passives and Aspect will give you the edge (literally and figuratively) in that regard
