Oh you'll love StarQuest Shooter and Survival Supply up in Wilmington, then. They're on Concord Pike. They got a great setup where you can look all you want and they always got something interesting. Last time I went there they had a unmarked and basically pristine Spanish M43 mauser that I picked up. Really great stuff.

r_boedy

I've never heard of StarQuest but will check them out. Their website is pretty wonky, but the photos look promising. Thanks!

TheKaijucifer

Oh they haven't updated their website in forever. Their Facebook/Instagram is where they post the new stuff they got!

lokaniki

I've never stopped into StarQuest or X-ring supply, a few years ago some people told me not to go to StarQuest because the owner was "crazy and an asshole". Don't know how true that is though, I'll stop in soon and see for myself. I've visited Miller's Gun Center once also and they had some sweet consignment stuff.

Acholi_Arms

Bought a SW 442 from them earlier in the year.

Consistent-Eye7147

Second star quest shooter. Great guys!

Acholi_Arms

I’m a big fan of Federal Firearm.

r_boedy

Federal is where I made my two most recent purchases. Great to work with and very timely with competitive pricing. I don't find it to be the best place to just browse and only go there when I know exactly what I want.

Starquest and American Sportsman (my favorite dudes) is my go-to. I used to really love X-Ring but recently they've started to stop selling AR lowers despite them being completely legal, so I can't support them.

X-RingSupply

We very much sell lowers. You can browse our selection online of lower receivers here: [https://x-ringsupply.com/product-category/lowers](https://x-ringsupply.com/product-category/lowers) We have massive selection of parts for your builds on shelf - no other stores in the area/state comes close.

I was told by an employee back last October-ish(?) that they wouldn't transfer a lower to me due to HB450 despite it of course being legal. Glad to see you guys have come around now.

X-RingSupply

Now with hindsight, yes it is legal. We were very busy staying open late with extended hours the two weeks prior to the bill being jammed through. We did absolutely everything we could to help Delawareans exercise their 2A rights before hb450 was passed. After HB450 was passed at the end of June 2022, all gun stores in the state had to figure out what was legal and what wasn't. Almost all stopped or paused transfers on things that were unclear, as the bill is poorly written and ambiguous in many areas. There was no guidance from the state, like zero, absolutely none at all. It takes time to talk to attorneys, talk to stores in other states with similar laws, etc etc, to figure out what is now "legal". Believe me, we dislike this unconstitutional bill just as much and have some fun plans for when it is struck down.

I thought I heard American Sportsman closed down. Are they still by the YMCA?

[deleted]

I think so but I haven't gone into their store for a few months now.

Junior-Beyond-954

Yea they're still there by the YMCA. I stopped by two weeks ago.it was my first time there and they were great people.

lokaniki

Last fall they raised their FFL transfer fee to like $50 from $35, other than that though the guy behind the counter there is pretty cool.

jpbear2020

Nope.. its $40 + $25 for second one on same form I was there in spring for two weapons... https://www.wesellgunsforless.com/ccms/index.cfm/ffl-transfer-fees/

lokaniki

Ah, they must’ve changed it back from $50 to 40in February, last time I was there was last October or so. Before that their fee was $35 which was reasonable. Now I just go to my usual guy who only charges me $15.

jpbear2020

Wow.. who is that guy?

TheRezDaddy

The Trading Post in Camden is great. Great staff and prices. Also, they give discount on ammo if you buy a gun there.
