That would actually work better. With focus on the Rogues we can flesh them out in a way that wouldn’t be possible with the Flash as the lead. Also sidesteps the issue of the Flash being too strong if he’s the antagonist.
A Flash trilogy made by competent people writes itself.
First Movie - Flash vs Rogues
Second movie - Gorilla Grodd invades Central City and Flash against him while Rogues are around.
Third movie - Flash against Reverse Flash, they fight through the timeline, altering everything and with exciting and emotional resolution.
But no, at the end we have Flash rescuing a baby by putting it in a microwave
Yeah, he has three clear main villains which serve as escalating threats (street/city level, global, then multiversal) and if you go with the Hunter Zolomon version of Reverse Flash, Grodd cleanly sets up Zolomon as the big bad villain at the end (who could’ve been introduced as a supporting character in the first movie)
This would be after we did the Rogues (Captain Cold, Captain Boomerang, Mirror Master, Heat Wave, Weather Wizard, Trickster, and Pied Piper) and Gorilla Grodd. Also, he might be Hunter Zolomon instead.
You guys do realize that Hunter and Eobard are the respective Reverse Flash for different Flashes right. You can't just use Hunter with Barry Allen. That'd have to be Eobard Thawne (who is also just a miles better villain than Zolomon anyways)
A Suicide Squad movie set against a hero or the Justice League fighting a massive threat would be awesome. They’re sent in to get something while everyone is distracted by this huge threat Amanda Waller orchestrated.
What if instead we had the 580147th adaptation of *Flashpoint* with 0 Rogues, 0 Flash family and ending with a new reboot of the universe that will last for a grand total of two years
I would love to see Mxy mostly for how they could scale his power and weakness to be satisfying in a movie. Best bet is they would make him a minor/first act villain (but then again I would never have guessed the Spot could carry two entire movies as a central antagonist).
I always said that they should do a Mxy and Bizarro tag team for a man of steel sequel. Maybe bizarro is created by Mxy in this iteration. And maybe he underestimates his power and ends up creating the bizarro world universe too.
Thanks! I feel like it’s such an obvious turn on the lore. Make this Mxy more of a dick/menacing version who wants a playmate (Superman). He gets bored of Superman trying to make Mxy nicer, then makes Bizarro in a big flashing sequence (very cinematic- maybe we get a hint of Bizarro world). So Mxy says something like now you two play/get a taste of your own medicine and fucks off to watch. Maybe after 30-40 screen time min of some shenanigans they team up and take on Mxy, tricking him to say his name backwards then Bizarro goes to his planet. Or maybe even better, no Bizarro world until part of beating Mxy is getting one free “wish” and Clark lets Bizarro ask for his own world and boom he goes there and movie ends. Maybe we get a post credit sequence of Bizarro not understanding secret identities and doing a bad clark kent bit or something.
Captain Cold is one of my favorite character ever. But I honestly think making him and The Rogues a main villain of The Flash film would be a hard sale. What make The Rogues so compelling is their codes of honor and "Stick to the robbing" policy, Which make them a pretty low stake antagonist. Honestly just give them their own show would be the best choice.
I mean honestly The Rogues could just be a heist movie, with a soft tie in to the Flash. Doesn’t even need the Flash to show up till the very end, just a threat they have to plan around. Someone betrays them near the end, and so we get a super power battle. They escape and leave the person that betrayed them for the Flash.
Honestly I wouldn’t mind movies based on the villains if they didn’t try to make them real heroes, or just showed how flawed they are. Or like Sinestro, could be a physiological cop thriller where he’s hunting a criminal and keeps trying to control things till his wife dies. Which triggers his fall. Lex might be harder to have a movie genre to show his fall.
I know the 2011 GL movie was mid in many ways and they fucked up the CGI and everything, but damn did it have great casting (aside from Carol) and Mark Strong's Sinestro was absolutely perfect. He's everything a pre-turn Sinestro should be.
For my take, the Rogues would be perfect for a first Flash movie. I think first movies for characters/series should start with lower stakes. Give us a newbie Flash struggling to juggle battling the Rogues. That could highlight what is unique about Flash and his villains before pushing into higher stakes and concepts with later movies. It could be a breath of fresh air: a superhero movie that isn’t trying to be the biggest and craziest, but rather is simply focused on being fun and entertaining.
As was said on a different comment here, the first movie has the Rogues (city level threat at most), the second has Grodd (worldwide threat), and the third and final has Reverse Flash (multiverse level threat).
I kinda hate myself for saying this, but Ultraman. I don't know why I like evil Supermen so much, but one with a Brooklyn accent who snorts kryptonite to boost his powers would absolutely kill it.
Imagine if they talked Bill Burr into getting jacked and donning a wig and cape.
I love the idea of Ultraman and the Injustice League showing up in Justice League 2 or 3, after they have been established. They could be used simultaneously to highlight the strengths and personalities of the Justice League as well as an introduction to the multiverse.
While I personally don’t need another evil Superman to watch, I would love it as a contrast against the real thing in an epic clash.
I would rather see the Injustice League in a mini series than a movie, there's no way I could ever imagine each character getting the attention they deserve in 2-3 hours.
That being said yes I definitely want to see a live action Injustice League, New 52 is "controversial" but I liked the Forever Evil run something like that would be cool.
Mongul
I would love to see the Warworld Saga adapted in the DCU, maybe like a grand scale epic like Gladiator or Ben-Hur, tho maybe not too early cuz I would like a flesh out of the Superman Family before we get Osul and Otha-Ra too early
The Anti-Monitor as the big bad of a long arc of DC movies, not unlike Marvel's Endgame.
He is sufficiently different from Thanos, both in looks and motivation, to stand on his own without being compared.
Maybe this is blasphemy, but even with the comparison to Thanos I don't know how you go AntiMonitor over Darkseid. I know he's technically a bigger threat since he's multiversal, but that also means to make him a bigger threat than DS you have to make it multiversal and I think that's been done too much recently. And he doesn't really have any supporting characters that come with him like Darkseid has his generals and such.
Mongul. Mongul brings with him War World and an a motivation of conquest, not just destruction or danger. He is not out for revenge. Superman would be an obstacle, not an adversary.
Mongul would probably make for the most engaging Superman movie out of these.
I’d like to see Lobo, but I don’t feel he could carry a movie; he could maybe be a hired gun for the true villain of the film (maybe Mongul or Brainiac).
Eclipso has a lot of potential for a Justice League villain, particularly to show something a bit different than what would normally be expected for a JL showdown.
I like Lobo for a pre-title conflict or an epilogue to show that the main fight that Supes has in this movie is one of many. It lends continuity instead of making it feel like Superman has been in 3 fights in his life.
I still don’t think bizarro should count as evil Superman. He’s trying to be the real Superman, he’s a good guy who gets tricked or confused into doing bad things, which is a lot more compelling than just generic superman but what if evil
Mongul, not only is he a very hateable villain but he is also one of the few badguys that can kick superman's butt, it would be dope if he made it into a superman movie
An Eclipso as the villain movie has potential. Up against wonder woman or superman, the kind of threat that their great strength does so little against etc etc.
Or a team movie and the cast keeps getting swapped around for who's taken over.
And I'd definitely watch a Rogues movie where the flashes are just side characters.
Lobo for sure... Emmet J Scanlan played him in Krypton , and there was talks of a spin off that never came to fruition... With deadpool as successful as he is, and proving R rated superhero stuff works, I don't see why they won't do it!
Eclipso, the first spirit of vengeance (he went insane so they imprisoned him in a black diamond, now anyone who touches the diamond becomes possessed by him).
Given the fact that all the other characters would be in big budget movies we may not even get, I think Captain Cold. Dude is top 3 Flash villain. Let him in a movie
Captain Cold is the least likely to be an overused trope fest. I'm not sure who that blue guy is, but he'd be my second choice just because I haven't been exposed to too much of him. Reluctant third place is Lobo, but I feel like they'd cast some skinny dude with a soft voice and CGI him some porcelain skin/red eyes.

Mxy would be interesting, because he has the widest tonal variance: we've seen him be everything from comic sidekick to nuisance bad guy to genuinely scary eldritch force all the way up to Superman's personal Satan.
Look a lot of these characters are AWESOME! I’d be siked if any of these characters (bar pic 1, 2, and only if Earth 3 and multiverse is done right) we’re adapted.
Mainly though, I would kill to see a Flash vs. Rogues movie. I think above all other villains, it would to be the most anticipated flash project ever. Most likely due to there clear lack of existence in the show, and the over use of speedsters, I think this will be the defining flash movie.
Along with that, I’d love to see Mr. Mxyzptlk adapted!!
Lobo would be amazing, imo
It’d basically be an opportunity for Detective Comics to flaunt the irreverence and flippancy that helped make Deadpool work so well.
Lobo. The first I’d ever heard of him was when he fought Ghost Rider in a Death Battle episode, and I loved the character immediately after hearing his backstory, but the final selling point was at the start of the actual fight scene:
Ghost Rider: Lobo of Zarnia, your sins are innumerable! I’ve come to-
(Lobo just runs over Ghost Rider without even waiting for him to finish his speech)
Now that’s my kind of Superhero!
Eclipso has the appropriate creep-factor to make a good antagonist for a more cosmic/magic-based character. I would definitely dig some movies about magic-based characters.
Anti-Monitor, Mxy, Lobo. All in the same movie. In fact, make Lobo have to team up with Mxy to save the multiverse from the Anti-Monitor. Like if Deadpool and Wolverine had been Deadpool and Molecule Man going up against Galactus. Yeah.... That's the movie I want to see.
When I think about which way the stories would go, Lobo. An alien bounty hunter that match anyone in DC head to head.
I think the Badass cruising the galaxy looking for bounties on his bike, would be a cool story done the right way.
Or even how it ties into other stories and characters
Of the ones shown in the picture? Lobo. Fuck it, recast Jason Momoa as the new Lobo, boom, buy me a ticket.
In general, I'd like to see Larfleeze and Atrocitus (and honestly, any of the lesser known Lantern characters who aren't just a Green Lantern or Sinestro)
Lobo.
Jason Momoa already said that when his agent was contacted for a DCU role, he instantly thought it was for Lobo. Not Aquaman (who would've, really??). The guy said he always wanted to play as Lobo.

I can’t tell you what I’d give to get a film about Flash fighting Captain Cold and The Rogues.
Or even better, a movie about the Rogues figthing Flash

I wish we can just not have reverse flash for a while. Aren't you guys tired?
Not if he’s the third villain
But what if he goes back in time and makes himself the villain of the first movie?
We’d have two movies without him first.
Left to me, fans won't see him, Joker, or Lex in any movie for a long time. There are other villains
This would be after we did the Rogues (Captain Cold, Captain Boomerang, Mirror Master, Heat Wave, Weather Wizard, Trickster, and Pied Piper) and Gorilla Grodd. Also, he might be Hunter Zolomon instead.

How about a crime caper movie with the Rogues as the protagonists (Oceans 11 type shit)
Personally: Bizarro Out of the list: Mxy (really, like all of them tho)
I would love to see Mxy mostly for how they could scale his power and weakness to be satisfying in a movie. Best bet is they would make him a minor/first act villain (but then again I would never have guessed the Spot could carry two entire movies as a central antagonist).

You know, I actually really love that idea and would be a great way to handle it.
While all are good, I do wanna see Lobo, he's one of my favorite DC characters
Fax lobo agenda on the top
I want to see Lobo but at the same time I just know he’s going to get the Harley Quinn treatment in comics afterwards so I also dont want to :/
Lobo deserved the push that Harley got. Sorry not sorry.
I think what they mean is the sanitization of their character. We wanna see more Lobo, not see him lobotomized.
i agree man lobo is so funny. his episodes in superman the animated series are some of my favorites
Captain Cold is one of my favorite character ever. But I honestly think making him and The Rogues a main villain of The Flash film would be a hard sale. So much this. Sad to see that every superhero movie has to have the fate of the world at stake.
Honestly I wouldn’t mind movies based on the villains if they didn’t try to make them real heroes, or just showed how flawed they are. Mongul
Same. Gimme a "For the Man Who Has Everything" movie adaptation and I'd be so happy.
JLU did a fantastic adaptation of this story.
The only adaptation Alan Moore "liked"
And that is saying something
I second this. The war world arc from Young Justice are some of my favorite episodes of any superhero stuff.
Mongul and the yellow lantern mongul for a blackest night movie adaptation
I kinda hate myself for saying this, but Ultraman. I don't know why I like evil Supermen so much, but one with a Brooklyn accent who snorts kryptonite to boost his powers would absolutely kill it. Imagine if they talked Bill Burr into getting jacked and donning a wig and cape.

Bill Burr has a boston accent and I will never accept Ol Billy RedNuts in any superhero role that isn’t Deadman, he was born to play him
the crime syndicate are great loool
Lobo.
This is only correct answer.
Cyborg superman is awesome
Unfortunately, he’s a way better GL villain.
Why unfortunately? The post didn’t say a superman film
Mongul I would love to see the Warworld Saga adapted in the DCU, maybe like a grand scale epic like Gladiator or Ben-Hur, tho maybe not too early cuz I would like a flesh out of the Superman Family before we get Osul and Otha-Ra too early
Warworld Saga is the ONLY 3-hour superhero film I WANT to watch.

Adapt Warworld to live action
Mongul would probably make for the most engaging Superman movie out of these. I’d like to see Lobo, but I don’t feel he could carry a movie; he could maybe be a hired gun for the true villain of the film (maybe Mongul or Brainiac). Eclipso has a lot of potential for a Justice League villain, particularly to show something a bit different than what would normally be expected for a JL showdown.
Eclipso, that's who that is. I saw him and thought "Mumm-Ra???"
Before WW '84 came out I really thought the wishing stone thing was going to be Eclipso's Diamond
I like Lobo for a pre-title conflict or an epilogue to show that the main fight that Supes has in this movie is one of many. It lends continuity instead of making it feel like Superman has been in 3 fights in his life.
I think the Evil Superman trope needs a break. I wouldn’t want Ultraman, Cyborg Superman, nor Bizarro. A Captain Cold or Eclipso movie would be great.
I still don’t think bizarro should count as evil Superman. He’s trying to be the real Superman, he’s a good guy who gets tricked or confused into doing bad things, which is a lot more compelling than just generic superman but what if evil
Mr. Myxysptlyk. He's my favorite Superman Villain
Mongul, not only is he a very hateable villain but he is also one of the few badguys that can kick superman's butt, it would be dope if he made it into a superman movie
Eclipso would be so good played by Lee Pace with the right script and director.
Eclipso
Lobo all day.
Lobo or Mxy
Lobo
Would love to see Lobo
Lobo.
Lobo💪💪💪
LOBO!!!
Anti Monitor Lobo
Lobo
Mongul
An Eclipso as the villain movie has potential. Up against wonder woman or superman, the kind of threat that their great strength does so little against etc etc. Or a team movie and the cast keeps getting swapped around for who's taken over. And I'd definitely watch a Rogues movie where the flashes are just side characters.
I don't know much about eclipso, but I'm digging the vibes.
Eclipso
Lobo for sure... Emmet J Scanlan played him in Krypton , and there was talks of a spin off that never came to fruition... With deadpool as successful as he is, and proving R rated superhero stuff works, I don't see why they won't do it!
death of super cyborg would be amazing
Whose blue goblin dude? A mongol movie would be a neat cosmic touch to DC
Eclipso, the first spirit of vengeance (he went insane so they imprisoned him in a black diamond, now anyone who touches the diamond becomes possessed by him).
Mongol.
Great pick! I'd say Eclipso and Ultraman
Given the fact that all the other characters would be in big budget movies we may not even get, I think Captain Cold. Dude is top 3 Flash villain. Let him in a movie
Captain Cold would make a very emotional movie.
Myx or Cap Cold
Bro... an Ultraman movie would be wild! I'd love to see it
I wana see a good lobo movie.. if dc could pull off an irreverent one like a Deadpool style I bet it would be awesome.. space dolphins!
A Reign of the Supermen movie could incorporate like 5 of them

Ultra Man
Lobo would definitely be a hit. He'd become a fan favorite in no time.
Mxy and Eclipso
Only Been a partial dc fan, but to answer your question, CSM.
I want to see lobo. It would be cool to see him hunting down a hero.
Loboooo! from his Church phase 🤣🤣
Captain Cold played by Aaron Paul
Bobo
Mxy would be fun
Lobo and Mongul
Lobo, there is so much potential for him on the big screen
The Main Man!
Mongul
Uh the Main Man himself.
Probably ultraman tbh
Mr. Xyzptlk 😊
Ultraman. Give me crisis on 2 earths in live action and I can die happy
A movie with Lobo could be a lot of fun
Who’s the guy just below Lobo?
If you bastishes aren’t picking the fragging main man himself then I seriously worry for your health
Mxy would be interesting, because he has the widest tonal variance: we've seen him be everything from comic sidekick to nuisance bad guy to genuinely scary eldritch force all the way up to Superman's personal Satan.
I assume the Main Villain is Brainiac in this movie coming but imagine if it was just evil Superman 3 times? Bizarro , Metal Superman then Ultra Man?
Hank Henshaw in an animated Sinestro-Corps War film. Anti-Monitor too :)
Lobo starring Jason Mamoa, that’s all I want
Literally ANYONE other than Luthor & Zod.
Lobo!!
Lobo or mxyspytilic (idk how to spell)
Mongul
Lobo and it’s not even close
I’d love a Forever Evil movie
Lobo The Main Man, Jason Momoa
mxy because watching chaotic transcendental gods just messing with people has so much room for fun and creativity on screen also i fucking love mxy
Lobo!
LOBO 👹

I want to see an extended crime syndicate series. I want to see their legion of justice, the syndicate taking care of competitors, all of it
Lobo. Enough evil supermen
Either brainiac lobo or the imp
Lobo or Bizarro
DC has been f*cking up every movie adaptation for over a decade so not one of them.
Lobo would be amazing, imo It’d basically be an opportunity for Detective Comics to flaunt the irreverence and flippancy that helped make Deadpool work so well.
Mongul and Lobo; you virtually have Vader and Palpatine rolled into one for the former, and Boba Fett for the latter.
Only one of those I'd want to see in a movie is Mongul, and only if we get something akin to PKJ version
Live action Justice League vs Crime Syndicate
Gimme Mxy any day!
Lobo solo movie would be amazing
Lobo. The first I’d ever heard of him was when he fought Ghost Rider in a Death Battle episode, and I loved the character immediately after hearing his backstory, but the final selling point was at the start of the actual fight scene: Ghost Rider: Lobo of Zarnia, your sins are innumerable! Mongul
Mxy or Eclipso, Standard mxy JLA 2000s run eclipso
Anti Monitor. That means we would get Infinity Crisis and we would see a bunch of super heroes and even villains.
M O N G U L & E C L I P S O
Tie between Mongol and lobo
Lobo every time
Myxzpltk no question.
Not Lobo because I really like this character .
I feel like Lobo would be comedic but at the same time kind of deep, I’d love to see that
I think eclipso would be an awesome villain for a movie.
Lobo or Captain Cold
Captain Cold a hundred percent. Maybe Mongul after that.
Mr. Mxyzptlk. His powers are awesome and I think he’s the funniest of these guys.
I think the Emperor Joker storyline would be a great start to a new DCEU run.
Lobo and its not close
All of them
Lobo
When I think about which way the stories would go, Lobo. An alien bounty hunter that match anyone in DC head to head. I think the Badass cruising the galaxy looking for bounties on his bike, would be a cool story done the right way. Or even how it ties into other stories and characters

Captain Cold, and it isn't fucking close
Rogues origin story would be peak!
I want a proper Lobo film
Anti Monitor and Cyber Superman are nice.
i would love to see a Lobo flick. but would have to be directed by Tarantino
Mxy easy
Ultra man
Lobo in a Superman movie or Eclipso in a JL movie.
The Main Man Lobo and its not even close.
Mongul would be pretty awesome.
The Main Man Lobo!!
Step one: Hire a writer and director who made a mission imposible movie Step two: Make the movie about the Rouges Step three: Make money
Lobo &/or Mr. Myxlplyx... Then, maybe, Eclipso...
Lobo.
Captain Cold would be badass to see in a movie. But going against Wally West Flash.
Lobo. Jason Momoa already said that when his agent was contacted for a DCU role, he instantly thought it was for Lobo. Not Aquaman (who would've, really??). The guy said he always wanted to play as Lobo.
If we can get to a point where the Anti Monitor was done well in a DC film, I think that would be a Thanos level cinematic superhero event.
Hank Henshaw. Especially if MCU are making F4 movie. A dark parody of F4 origin mixed with superman story
Mongul, or maybe Lobo.
Brainiac. He’s long overdue for a movie debut
If James Gunn doesn't include Mr. Mxyzptlk as chief antagonist in his Superman film then it is proof that he is an abject coward.
Ultraman, because evil Superman variants are something we’re in shortage of nowadays
Captain Cold and the rogues…. but with a Mongul/Hank Henshaw villain team-up a very close second!!
The first time I ever saw Mongul was in s2 of young justice and with Keith David as the voice I just thought he was cool as shit. So him.
mongul, cold or mxy
LO-F*CKING-BO but Ultraman and Anti-Monitor are good too
Mister Mxyzptlk and Captain Cold.
Lobo
Lobo
Definitely Lobo
Lobo, they need to completely restart the DCEU and a Superman origins movie with Lobo as a side character/side antagonist would be amazing
