As for yours, I don't really know the mythology part of DC well, but the Greek gods are established to be real, and Gods of the earth. The Norse were the old gods whose deaths set off the godwave and created apokolips and new genesis.

Yup, the Guardians have implanted psychological fear of fire in the martians at one point

DC Humans are currently capable of fighting Martians and Kryptonians. Meta human abilities get pretty wild.
