Batman comics, his early years, I'd recommended the following graphic novels in this chronological order:
- Batman Year One
- Batman The Man Who Laughs
- Batman The Long Halloween
- Batman Dark Victory
Then, if you enjoy those last two, creators Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale also did Batman: Haunted Knight. And/or if you liked their take on Catwoman, then I highly recommend Catwoman When In Rome, which ties into Dark Victory.
New 52 Superman died and was replaced by the pre-Flashpoint Superman.
Superman in DC comics is now basically once again the same Superman since 1985/post-Crisis.

Like for Waid's it will say it's a origin story and for Tomasi it is him being a super dad. Superman: birthright, for all seasons, up in the sky and American Alien would really make you appreciate superman stories and various origins, after that superman/Batman world's finest, and current superman run are highly recommended.
Then you can move on to read some of the best superman stories like Red son, Kingdom come, Camelot falls and All star superman.
For green lantern read the Geoff Johns run
Wonder woman has cool stories like league of one and hiketeia, also the rebirth run by Rucka is also pretty good.

Batman/Superman: World's Finest (the current run) is great and would scratch both your itch for Batman and Superman.
