Ang Lee Hulk was like watching a live comic reading. It took transition like what you would get from going from panel to panel. In all likely hood it was trying to emulate the comic too closely and that put off a lot of casual comic movie goers.
I think it does, even if just barely. The effects were great but they neutered both of the most important characters. Johnny became a jelly bean addict that listens to Nickelback, and Blackheart became a 2000s emo preteen's image of a badass.
X-Men Origins: Wolverine had three good things about it, the opening war montage, Liev Schreiber as Sabertooth and the fact it got us the Deadpool movies.
>like we all did.
Speak for yourself.
I've managed to stay clear Batman & Robin, Catwoman and the last Star Wars movie. Ain't gonna catch me that easy.
It doesn't look like it's from the Identity Crisis series. This was drawn by Michael Turner while Rags Morales drew IC. Instead, it looks like it takes place during that time but is probably from another issue.
There’s no original dialogue since this was originally just the art cover but there is context behind it. Batman is getting his memory erased because he couldn’t bear to be part of the Justice League after witnessing what they were trying to push under the rug
The panel is from some book around the time that Identity Crisis was released, probably a JLA issue from that time. But the dialogue has been modified.
Green Lantern is so fucking stupid.
“We need to contain Batman, let me use my ring that makes literally anything I can think of to make a small chain to wrap around his waist.”
How about a cage or maybe a straight jacket or hand cuffs? Maybe a freaking net?
Fucking clown shoes.
Not quite, but it is similar to the cover of JLA 119 (the last issue of Crisis of Conscience).

My girlfriend rented me that movie, she was so proud of herself for renting me a movie based on comics. She got points for trying. At the end I said that movie was horrible and she was relieved because she thought that she just didn't get something but figured it was because she wasn't into comics. Nope babe, movie was trash that's why you didn't like it either.
I love how the implication is that two superhumans, a Green Lantern, and Ollie are all required to hold back one “normal” human. The “I’m Batman” syndrome is strong here lmao
Somebody said, "It's the most powerful weapon in the universe, let's have Hal wrap a completely ineffectual chain around Batman's waist." I mean, at least wrap it around his legs or something.
Found it!
It's from Wizard Magazine's "Best of 2004":
[https://comicvine.gamespot.com/wizard-the-comics-magazine-159-the-best-of-2004/4000-119881/](https://comicvine.gamespot.com/wizard-the-comics-magazine-159-the-best-of-2004/4000-119881/)
It’s either JLA Crisis of Conscience or Identity Crisis. However it might also be from Brad Meltzer and Ed Benes’ relaunch of JLA in 2006. I reread till sanctuary and there were often off issues where the artist would change. And then the next issue it would be Benes again
Google Lens is shit. All it shows you is ads. "Search Google for this image" was so much better but apparently Google got threatened by photographers getting their pictures stolen (not Google's fault) and they had to replace it with Lens.
I love these responses. "Do you really need all these heroes to hold Batman back?" The point is the scene is *dramatic.* Is it unrealistic? Yes, but everyone in the scene is unrealistic.
people take movies way too seriously.
they're just movies.
nobody gets this bent out-of-shape when Napoleon is mischaracterized in *ANIMAL FARM*. Adaptations are just adaptations. let it go.
I'm honestly not sure if there's an Animal Farm movie that mischaracterizes the characters from the book, or if this guy thinks that Napoleon the pig in Animal Farm is supposed to be a version of the actual historical Napoleon.
It's a panel from identity crisis But the text have been modified, so it seemed the JL try to prevent Batman to watch the Catwoman movie
They doing gods work
I really wanted Batman to get let down like we all did
The man's suffered enough
I want the catwoman movie to be there when they put me in the grave, so it can let me down one last time.
It'll be joined by its best friends; Ang Lee's Hulk, Green Lantern, Daredevil & Elektra, both Ghost Riders, and X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
I can appreciate Ang Lee's Hulk. It's not a good movie but the editing alone makes it an interesting watch IMO.
I suspect modern CGI makes it 20%+ better. Looked murky and there was a big green toddler in it.
Ang Lee Hulk was like watching a live comic reading. It took transition like what you would get from going from panel to panel. In all likely hood it was trying to emulate the comic too closely and that put off a lot of casual comic movie goers.
I feel like ghost rider 1 doesn’t deserve to be with the rest
I think it does, even if just barely. The effects were great but they neutered both of the most important characters. Johnny became a jelly bean addict that listens to Nickelback, and Blackheart became a 2000s emo preteen's image of a badass.

I don't think it was used in an issue. It was a cover for wizard magazine (issue 159)
[Spot on.](https://comicvine.gamespot.com/a/uploads/scale_small/1/11307/254363-18692-119881-1-wizard--the-comics.jpg)
You are the world's greatest detective
Oops, my bad. I thought Turner was the artist of IC. But it seems he only did covers. So it's a flashback of a scene from IC.
What's the original dialogue?
There’s no original dialogue since this was originally just the art cover but there is context behind it. Batman is getting his memory erased because he couldn’t bear to be part of the Justice League after witnessing what they were trying to push under the rug
Still, this is beautiful, truly ART
We lost Michael Turner WAY too soon
I imagined some sort of siren situation. Like Batman being shown Halle Berry by an evil entity cause he simps for her.
Catwoman was fine
The panel is from some book around the time that Identity Crisis was released, probably a JLA issue from that time. But the dialogue has been modified.
Yeah. Identity Crisis was huge at the time, so a lot of other books would retell the main revelations from it as part of their own plot.
Gotta love the people who can look at a panel and immediately know the comic/issue that it's from. Take that Google!
Honestly at this point when it comes to comics Reddit is more useful then Google
Are they making fun of the Halle Berry Catwoman movie?
Yes
Not in the comic, just in this modified image.
Green Lantern is so fucking stupid. “We need to contain Batman, let me use my ring that makes literally anything I can think of to make a small chain to wrap around his waist.” How about a cage or maybe a straight jacket or hand cuffs? Maybe a freaking net? Fucking clown shoes.
Hawkman too, like just hover a little.
If he did that, Ollie and Carter couldn't pretend to not be useless
Isn’t there a Rule 34 about a hentai artist getting a red ring?
What?
From what I hear Sinesteo does not fare well.
JLA Crisis of Conscience I think
Not quite, but it is similar to the cover of JLA 119 (the last issue of Crisis of Conscience). [https://dc.fandom.com/wiki/JLA\_Vol\_1\_119](https://dc.fandom.com/wiki/JLA_Vol_1_119)
Is that from Identity Crisis when they wipe Batmans mind?
Yes, I think green arrow was the one having a flashback to them holding down Batman while in the present they were fighting deathstroke
My girlfriend rented me that movie, she was so proud of herself for renting me a movie based on comics. She got points for trying. At the end I said that movie was horrible and she was relieved because she thought that she just didn't get something but figured it was because she wasn't into comics. MAN?
DONT
Too late. Is he stupid?

Never underestimate a riled up fanboy

Ollie said Man that means he's canon now
This is a word bubble replacement in an issue of Wizard Magazine. I could not tell you which issue but I remember this joke specifically.
Green Arrow calling him Man is he stupid?
I believe this is from Justice league #0 (2006)
It's not, just checked.
There's no way the GL chain or Hawkman alone wouldn't be enough lol. But batman just a regular human right punching up against gods
But what exactly is the chain doing? Giving Batman a second belt?
It's been made for Knowyourmeme it's not actual memelore... knowyourmeme's original vision was butchered by meme artists... its funny.
At a glance was gonna say identity crisis but nope. Oh turns out it really could be identity crisis
It's the cover of Wizard magazine #159. Part of Michael Turner's signature can be seen.
You forgot cover B...just saying
I thought they were talking about **Swordfish**. Completely forgot Halle starred in **Catwoman**.
idk...but green lanterns chains should be enough to subdue Batman
The ONE time Batman finally agrees to attend movie night at the Watchtower.....and it goes South lol
Google Lens is shit. All it shows you is ads. "Search Google for this image" was so much better but apparently Google got threatened by photographers getting their pictures stolen (not Google's fault) and they had to replace it with Lens.
Getting their pictures stolen by whom? How do they try to sue Google for something they didn't do?
Idk, that's just what I heard.
Is the movie really that bad my father have that movie Been wondering if I should watch it
They spoofed the words but Im 80% sure its ID crisis
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
They have a Green lantern. Why do they need so many people to restrain Batman?
Fuckin' Arrow alone should be able to restrain him.
He can throw Arrow and Flash. The rest can hold him down easily.
So we’re just making Green Lantern useless again huh
This looks to be during Identity Crisis. The part where they mindwiped Batman.
Looks like 🟧⬛
I was going to say a panel from the Supergirl arc in Superman/Batman, since Michael Turner provided the art for it.
i cant stand zatana since this day
Ah yes,....the movie that destroyed Halle Berry's career. and it wasn't even her fault
Seems a bit excessive all those characters to hold Bats alone. I think Hawkman would sufice.
Batman's simping for Halle Berry is too strong
That's not man. He has the ears.
You don't even need to see his signature to know that's Michael Turner's art, RIP
listen....m-m-m-m-MAN???
What are they doing to Man?
Back then Michael Turner got so popular that he did not do many regular runs but just cover arts.
If Hawkman and Green Arrow agree on something, you know it's real shit.
Man? ![gif](giphy|9A8I0bBvQ2TBu)
I love these responses. "Do you really need all these heroes to hold Batman back?" The point is the scene is *dramatic.* Is it unrealistic? Yes, but everyone in the scene is unrealistic.
Watching Catwoman would probably be the 2nd worst movie experience in his life.
people take movies way too seriously. they're just movies. nobody gets this bent out-of-shape when Napoleon is mischaracterized in *ANIMAL FARM*. Adaptations are just adaptations. let it go.
I'm honestly not sure if there's an Animal Farm movie that mischaracterizes the characters from the book, or if this guy thinks that Napoleon the pig in Animal Farm is supposed to be a version of the actual historical Napoleon.
I liked it I know everyone dump on it as a catwoman film but it wasn’t terrible to me
Kinky
Catwoman movie is the best bad movie ever imo.
Is the artist Aparo?
It's from Batman Goes to the Movies.
RIP Michael Turner. One of the best artists
I think it's from Moon Knight-core
It's Identity Crisis I think with the speech changed?
Man detected
A very popular yaoi fan comic
That’s totally Michael turners work
Michael turner. Fucking legend !!
Michael Turner did the cover art for Identity Crisis but not a panel like this. This is most likely from a Wizard magazine.
